Yes they check to see if it's valid.

The VCC needs to be able to be shown to come from the country you're registering in.

You have to have a card to sign up. It doesn't need more than $1 on it to verify it. You can add whatever card you need to to pay fees via a card after the fact, but if you are getting paid via Paypal, just pay your fees from the account and move on. If you have DC, pay it from that. Pretty simple.

In your area for Paypal only shops it's fine, if going for DC I do not recommend it.

When paying the Et/sy fee, do you need to manually change business name for each et/sy account you need to pay? because i dont see the option to add the business name as simply as adding (and later choosing) email address / address.


Well, I dont plan to try it at the moment, since my paypal is still new and limited. I dont want to raise suspicion from them.

I only need to activate the registration. I dont intend to pay the fee with VCC.
PayPal is the way to go.

Yeah, I see that now! I'm just going to pay my et.sy fees with the money I make from a sale. That way, you never have to use PayPal.

Address is irellevant since etsy can't enquire the bank for the address and it won't appear on the transfer either so you can put whatever you want in that field (as long as it appears on your account as well to avoid other problems).

Having personal pp you can too change primary email address in 2 seconds

As my post said, you can freely change the business name. There’s a risk associated with personal as you cannot change the business name. I do not recommend Personal accounts at all.
