I've personally tried IPBurger VPN and 24vc as they are fast compared to the residential IPs. But i always have problems with the account creation - always getting suspended when trying to list the items. And the indexing of listings would take a lot of time than usual.

Here's the thing about etsy.
On your first sales, you undergo to a review, on whether you are high risk to them or not.
Now, since you passed the initial verification process on the account creation, it doesn't mean you are already safe. Nope, you should not use a VPN when managing your etsy account, it should always be a residential or mobile internet IP. Going to the public ip address would be tasky and time consuming - so what do you have to do? I always use Residential IP address proxies, until then i did not have any problems with etsy.
But can you still use the VPN? yes of course, but not with etsy. I also bought an IPBurger VPN before for the management of my ebay account and it was good.

Well said and very insightful. My gameplan right now was to follow the ebay stealth guide - which i'm meticulously reading everyday - and make adjustments that I deem absolutely necessary. Now I thought the guide would be the ultimate stealth, but it seems like Etsy has a particular focus on VPN. Hopefully everything else would make for a robust Etsy Stealth account. Of course the IP is very important though, and I really want to know how i'm going to run my different Etsy accounts on my Mac users on my laptop. Can you please explain to me this sentence: " I always use Residential IP address proxies...". Tell me how you use it, and hopefully its feasible for me.

Also I have to ask, when you get suspended do you ever appeal? As I mentioned, it's been so many times where I've found myself suspended initially only for them to revoke it once I appeal.

Some of the guides mentioned there are only applicable to ebay.
ebay etsy
So yeah, the IP Address really matters. Also, you might want to also secure the accounts to avoid the linkage since you plan to only use your 1 laptop.

Most of my suspended accounts before were due to selling too fast especially during the peak season. And nope i haven't tried appealing them, as i've been running multiple accounts as back-ups.
I rather focus on my other stores, than wasting time on the suspended accounts. I just thought i will be upset if they won't restore it. So i just pay the fees, and forget about it, and proceed to the other accounts.

You must open a lot of bank accounts. Lol!

In your other response, what did you mean about "secure"?

you had written " Also, you might want to also secure the accounts to avoid the linkage since you plan to only use your 1 laptop."

When you have supportive relatives
Also, it's easy to get bank accounts now, especially they accept online registrations now. They didn't care as long as you make a deposit, get their fees.
Secure - means you should know how to safely run your multiple accounts in 1 device. fingerprinting, cookies, browsing history, etc.

Well that begs the question, I have supportive relatives but what from your relatives do you use? Since the bank account is yours, I guess maybe their name SS and Home Address?

You know what I mean?

I agree, whether they get a 1099K or not,if they are ever audited by state or Fed,they have to explain where the money comes from.
If they are receiving aids from the state, state often access their bank account to see if they have extra income and then punish them by clawing back past subsidy and cut down on future payments.

Funny enough, i think most people here are making a big mistake with Etsy. First and foremost, EVERYONE gets suspended either shortly after you make an account, or within the first few days. This applies if you do print on demand and post a lot initially. All you do is appeal it, then they say oops and reinstate your account. I thought this was a given but I have a feeling everyone in here is not permanently suspended LOL!

How do I know? Because it's happened to me 4 times. The first 3 times it happened, i've never been suspended from etsy before and since I knew how to sell and had a gameplan i made the accounts, posted a lot, and got suspended the first few days in. No problem, I got unsuspended shortly after. The 4th time though, and this is interesting as we speak, this one was about 5 days ago after I got initially suspended for all of my accounts (I had 4, and over 7000 sales combined, and I was so upset it's how I found these forums). So to continue, I went to my mother and had her sign up for an account (another one, she already sells vintage stuff around the house and somehow hers didn't get suspended with mine). Anyways I connected her account with my POD platform and put up like 40 listings in 3 hours, made 3 sales, and got suspended. I thought ok, I got caught and then I proceeded to find these forums. But as I appealed, I got the "oops" message a few days later (2 days ago). And i've still been selling on that account. I'll juice it out until they catch me, because there's no way they can't. I use all the same pictures, mockups, descriptions, everything. Lol! Why I'm doing this, and wanting to use separate VPNS for my different stores, is so they all don't come collapsing at once ever again!

So I really want to know if it's a vpn thing.
I admire your persistance however do find a back up venue to sell your items. Etsy is getting more difficult to sell with their promoted ads, if your a seller there you know what their ad system is like and it sucks. I have just one bestseller left on my Etsy account and moved everything to my Ebay account.

Top Tip and i think does work after one month trial and error is the following - If you do not want to pay for their promoted ads to get on the the first or second page then do a % off sale. I found that when i done a sale my items slowly started creeping up to the first few pages then when i started getting sales and lots of likes and views my items were staying near the bottom of the first page. You will save more doing a sale than using Etsy promoted ads. Good luck all.

Thank you for your kind words. I've given your post a "thanks" because I do find it justifiable advice to sell on other venues. On the other hand though, I believe success is definitely more than possible on Etsy. When my accounts got closed, the biggest one had a advertising budget of $400 per day. I was making a large return on my money as well. I've studied the etsy marketplace extensively, i have an almost complete and sublime strategy for selling on there. If selling on a marketplace like amazon is anything similar, and if I can invent or create a viable product, then I will be a millionaire in a few years time if I sell it there. A lot of "ifs" though lol.

I got Nord VPN today and tried to register a new account with Etsy.
It keeps saying "Sorry, there was a problem on our end" every time i try.

So what i'm gathering from the other posters is that.. if i had a friend make an account for me (who is unrelated and lives in another state...) I could still manage my etsy account using the VPN with no worries?
Is anyone having issues with that?

What do you mean about Not only about the VPN?
Are you a seller? This technique is well and works good?

I mean that I have been using a vpn on etsy for 3 years now and have made sales, received payments. So, if you are having trouble, it isn't only the vpn. It could be that the vpn you are using is not a fresh one, maybe it's been used before. Or something else.
