I'm not trying to fraud the IRS. I created the EIN with my real info so that i can pay taxes on it, however i was not comfortable putting real info on etsy Taxpayer ID page because i didnt want to get linked to my old shut down account.
First i made a single person EIN, then on etsy used the real EIN but put stealth details. This gave me the original etsy error saying tax ID & name didnt match and why i started asking here.
Since asking i have tried several things and nothing is working. I havent found anywhere on the forum if people are putting in 100% real details on etsy tax id page
edit: I'm needing help because etsy is now asking. I've made over 20k and they are trying to communicate with the IRS

Just a thought...did you register your LLC with the state? If you didnt, your EIN wont mean anything because the LLC isnt a complete or legitimate entity.
Meaning, it will be registered as A company, but it wont be in the databases because it is not registered completely with your State's corporation commission, basically it is not a complete entity..kind of like you have a birth certificate, but no social security number or ID...your alive and kicking, but youre off the grid and cant even pay taxes.
For instance, I have an LLC in Virginia, and I have an EIN for this LLC. However, I cannot use this company to conduct commerce because I have not gone through ALL of the steps to register and close the loop as far as the state of VA is concerned.
This includes:
-Employer Identification Number (easy)
-Articles of Organization submitted
-Articles of Incorporation submitted
-Registered business entity (LLC first step)
-Operating Agreement
-Registered Agent
-Verified Business Address/Phone Number
-Finally, file with your state's SCC.
This is all (almost?) the paperwork you need to get in order to register the business entity successfully with the IRS/State Corporation Commission
Keep in mind it will take a little time for the info to be verifiable as far as the IRS or Etsy is concerned. Once you submitted everything and the state congratulates you on your new company, you will be off to the races.
If you go to Incfile I believe they do all of the above for you for a couple hundred dollars, and I myself use 1postal for the business address ($10/month, addresses in all 50 states!)
P.S - I have only ever put legitimate tax information into an Etsy account that I wanted to have any longevity. I know no other way.=}
