Looks like the secrecy is over with DAC7!Anyone have any ideas how to get around this?I was given five days to submit my id card number, otherwise my account will be frozen.How do you solve this problem?

did you not submit your ID to etsy before? I was under the impression etsy verify sellers similar to ebay and amazon

I submitted it, but they are asking for it again to certify me as a verified seller and to be able to send information to my country to the national revenue service and collect taxes.This means that there are two options, to raise the price of the product or to go out of business, because Latvia taxes are high and the accountant has to pay.This is called the destruction of small business, only the big producers will be left.

how can you be sure that it's caused by DAC7? can you write the content of the email? I've been wondering how to get around this for some time now.
What information did they ask for exactly?

only 5 days and not 10 as in the case of INFORM act?

you can consider changing the address details or residence country , don't know though if etsy allow this

I know it 100% is caused by DAC7,they do it to check the seller's information and then pass it on to each country's revenue service.I think there will be big problems for internet sellers in early 2024.

Etsy doesn't allow you to change the data you originally entered, one option is to create a new account with f@@e documents, that seems to be the only solution.

you just set up residence anywhere abroad where you are not known and use etsy with account registered there on real docs , in the EU you have a lot of freedoms

you can go to lithuania or estonia for example and set up any cheap residence

I wonder if etsy will report sales in accordance with DAC7 of recently closed stores that did not confirm the seller's data,

the same for active sellers who do not confirm this data and will be suspended?

I hope they won't report it, but don't know that, the robot will do it automatically!We'll know in 2024

from what I have read, the platform is obliged to confirm and verify current data before the DAC7 report the second issue is the fact that when registering as a physical seller, we do not provide the Tax Identification Number Combining these two issues, I doubt that they would report anything based on basic data such as name, surname, date of birth and address (especially if they do not verify it in the EU)

Latvia's personal identification number is a tax number, that's enough for them.

There is no text.They ask for a tax number, in Latvia it is a personal code.I found additional information on the etsy forum, there is a lot of talk about this.
