Bank account in another name?

I just figured you would want to start a brand new thread and discussion but it's fine, not the biggest of deals.

Now about your question on transferring names on accounts - it's dangerous because of ID verification etc...I think there are measures in place for easier transition if the account is a business one and then changes owners.

Regardless, the bank account true info is not revealed unless funds come out of the account (like a receipt generated is sent to the web platform). For Etsy specifically, still waiting on other ppl's experience with using bank accounts not in their name...

I recall Etsy wants the names to match,the name you used to register your Etsy account and the name on your bank account.
If so,then Etsy is able to compare the names ??
