No, the PARTY did not change, where the majority of voters come from does not & did not change the core values of the party. The party is the same.

You are correct he didn't end slavery in those states (yet) but for a very good reason. It was because he needed those states to remain in the union so he could win the war & abolish slavery all together.

Unfortunately, two weeks after the war he was shot & killed (by a democrat)& was not able to end slavery himself.

A year or so later a 100% republican congress radicated the 13 amendment Ending slavery.

Again, the party & its core beliefs did not change, there was no swap (as democrats would like you to believe)

The only swap to refer to is simply the reversal in which states tend to support certain candidates. There was a switch in the rust belt states this past election, but that doesn't change the party.

jojo2012- again out of curiosity - where do you stand on trump's behavior and comments when it comes to women (the pussy grabbing classic for example) and handicapped people (you remember the fiasco where he made fun of one right? and please dont use the childish and absurd excuse he did as to what he meant...).
Again no populism - just want to know what your thoughts are when it comes to a the PRESIDENT who behaved and spoke this way on the record.

First off, I have yet to use childish or any absurd comments. So why would I now?

I'm not going to make excuses for all his behavior.
The pus grab was a dumb thing to say , but he did say when referring to groupies "I could " not "I did" or " I would" he was referring to the way groupies act toward celebrities & how sexually agressive they act toward him.

The other, I was there in person about 30 feet away when he did it. Again dumb move especially because this time he was running for office. It is was dumb even though the guy he was referring to had just threw him under the bus,

I said earlier, he's not the greatest guy in the word, but I do like that he's not ⊗⊗⊗⊗, we all know his personality, like it or not , we know him. I & many others voted for him for these reasons. I'd rather him be himself then to "act presidential " we've been dealing with a two party system that does nothing except butt heads, point fingers spend billions of dollars & get nothing done.

He set into motion a huge change in government. I don't know which way it will go but the people have spoken & the biggest message was "we are sick & tired of politics as usual".

I didn't say you used childish and absurd comments - I asked that you not use HIS (i.e. Trump's) excuses. At least you didn't in the past.
This time you did. You just excused what he said. Saying it was dumb was all you needed to say. You didn't need to go on and with the word 'But' since everything after that is just a dumb excuse justifying what he said. Same thing with the other issue I mentioned (his attitude towards a handicapped person) - NOTHING excuses that behavior so enough with the 'But's.
As for what he does or will do - take note of where the economy is right now and where it was in 2008. Mark the place it is right now with 4.7-4.8% unemployment and the rate of growth of the conomy. We shall see where those figures are come 2020.

I know he tweeted it, but that doesn't make it untrue. There's more than those three or four poles out there how do you know they're not ⊗⊗⊗⊗? They were wrong about Hillary Clinton winning the presidency.

That was so incoherent its worthy of being a speech given by Trump himself.
You sound almost as full of yourself as he does.
The bottom line is statements are being made - by the President of the United States no less - that are pure garbage and you repeating them and supporting them kinda shows that it is you who is blindly being led. You can deny it all you want but it is evident (at least to any rationale free thinking individual)that the main tactic being used by Trump and his advisors (Puppet Masters? - i.e. Bannon) is hate and fear mongering and a whole lot of loud Populism. So far that's all I have seen from this joke of a man and his Billionaires cabinet. Talk about letting the cat watch over the milk - a bunch of Billionaires are going to make America great again for the little guy. Ya. And monkeys are gonna come flying out of my butt any second now.

That speech was 100x better than Morpheus' speech about the machines....

Looks like some top NASA officials got caught with their thumb on the scale when measuring data that they can't seem to reproduce. It turns out that they had "pre determined " data that they had to figure out how meet during the last administration to meet their political goals. (At the expense of us taxpayers)
