Default First thing you ever sold on eBay

Thought this would be interesting.

Mines was a trumpet for a hundred bucks back in 2002. Followed by some video games I had laying around. Amazingly I still sell on this account today.

Was short on money and had some really nice brand name stuff from the times I could afford it, so I was thinking about consigning with a shop few blocks away - but decided against it when I saw how much commission they would take out of it and put it on Ebay instead. I first sold black/white St.John two peace knit set and could not believe the amount of money I got for it. I would have been happy with 1/3 of it...lol. That was back in late 2001, early 2002.

This is a interesting thread!

My Dad bought one of those "How to sell on Ebay" programs on some infomercial. And he was to lazy or uninterested in actually reading it, so he asked me to do it and teach him and my Mom.

Anyway...Our 1st listing was a series of 124 romance novels we bought at a garage sale for $5.00

We listed them for 1¢ plus a $24.95 shipping (We got the one bid for a penny) and we made about a $10. profit after fee's etc.

First thing I ever sold on ebay was a PS2 around Xmas-time in 2001. Got my first taste of big profits.

An "Around the World" Starbucks coffee mug. I bought for .05 at a thrift store and sold to an international buyer for $126.00 back in 1999. It was so exciting.

First thing I ever sold was back in 2002 can't remember exactly what it was but I started with everything around the house we didn't need like car stereo equipment (we are ultra addicted to car stereos), cameras, kids clothing etc. was soo much fun back then. We were desperate to make some extra cash and I had a friend that was raving about ebay so I borrowed my sis's cc and opened an account.

If this were true you probably would have made 3 times what it originally cost.

My kids old clothes.

Then went to second hand store, bought a big bag of kids clothes ($0.25/each), and sold those.
