wii fit vs wii console

I dont know anything about wii

I am buying a joint present for a relatives kid, Ive been told they would like wii
but I dont know which console would be better and whether you can play normal wii adventure games on the wii fit or how does it work?

If I get a wii fit and some wii fit games and some normal games eg. indiana Jones, do i need extra accessories so that both types can be played on it? or should I get the normal wii console and get the wii fit accessories? Or are the 2 not compatible..

Lol. Wii fit is a game for the wii. The wii will cost aprox. $280 here. It probably expensiver in the uk. The wii fit cost about $120 here. The wii fit is a game for the wii console. You have to buy a console inorder to play games.
