| walkingupwards | 03-15-2020 06:12 AM | Re: Corona Virus The plan is now clear as a glass of water, the COVID-19 virus is here to stay and will join the family of Coronaviruses currently in circulation. It will cause deaths and major disruptions to life as we know it. It has been introduced to further feed the narrative that we need a universal flu vaccine that is still 10 years away.
How far will COVID-19 will be allowed to go? I don't have an answer, but if anybody thinks it was the pure work of nature, they should reconsider. |

Chinese national anthem was played during the Italian "balcony concert" to thank China's aid to Italy. |

11500 cases reported on the 14th. Cumulative confirmed cases outside of China now outnumber the total recovered #. Unless China starts honestly reporting cases again, the rest of the world will pass China's 80k today. Italy has caught a plague. Japan is lying. There is no way a tiny island with such a high concentration of people have managed to stay under 1k cases when they were one of the first places outside of China to have a case. Iran and SK both forgot to report cases yesterday.. but in all fairness Iran's number only seems to update every other day.
South Korea - 8086 (+0?)
Iran - 12729 (+0?)
Italy - 21157 (+3497)
USA - 2952 (+778) |
| walkingupwards | 03-15-2020 08:56 AM | Re: Corona Virus CureVac is a German company that specializes in vaccines...etc, they claim to have made much progress in terms of finding a vaccine for COVID-19, the CEO was swapped and something shady is going on. Trump is trying to pressure and lure them away form the German market and wants them to produce a vaccine exclusively for the U.S.
Talk to me about natural viruses, huh?!!
And btw, guess who is involved with this company now? :welcome; |

| phaz0rz | 03-15-2020 09:29 AM | Re: Corona Virus Apparently Mike Pence has announced that Trump's covid test came back negative. He looked sick or something in his press conference yesterday, but I guess that could be due to a lack of sleep and an overall very stressful situation.
In the press conference he did yesterday he said the US gov't is treating this as a "worst case scenario." Flights to UK will be blocked starting tomorrow and movement within the US will be restricted.
Nobody here is going to want to admit it, but this is martial law. Regular laws and freedoms have been suspended due to Covid in the USA. Just by declaring a "national state of emergency" the president grants himself all kinds of powers that he wouldn't usually have, and that are debatably unconstitutional.
I'm honestly way more worried about service disruptions during the next few weeks than I am about contracting the virus. I'm just getting to the point where my stock levels are back to normal and business is starting to return to its usual pace. But now the whole country is under a "state of emergency." I have no doubt that at least banks won't be open during their normal hours this week. Only time will tell how bad this is going to get for people in business. |

There's been little transparency about what covid does to people.. aside from the dozens of videos that came out of China last month showing packed hospitals with sick people having convulsions on the floor.
It's clearly a bit more extreme than the flu, otherwise governments wouldn't have taken the actions that have been taken. The economic growth over the past few years is Trump's primary selling point, and it's an election year. I'm sure he wouldn't have crashed the economy without a very good reason. :noidea:
The media is pushing the "it's just the flu, bro" meme to keep people calm, but I think the reality is that it's certainly not just the flu and is actually way worse/deadly. The flu doesn't usually cause cytokine storms with people's immune system attacking healthy cells. |

Grocery stories are going bare | Unlike hurricane and the like, grocery stores are still being resupplied. So while they are going bare in the short term, they aren't going bare in the long term. Publix, for example, is even closing hours early now, just so they have enough time to do all the restocking for the next day ( while keeping things clean). | | All times are GMT -5.
