Default Dirty Laundry

Ok, this is going to sound sketchy af, but I'm conducting some research rn.

What would be the best method of holding funds to keep safe for a rainy day?

Scenario: Let's say a seller received some funds into a PP/ or Bank acc and need it out to accumulate else where. Where would that likely be best?

"Methodologically" speaking.

Crypto (Hard wallet only ) <<< I would spend at least 6 months to learn about it first.
There is loads of info on youtube I would suggest "Coin Bureau" they have step by stem guides for everything!

I would put it in a money market account which is yielding over 5%- 5 1/2%,not too shabby considered we have been eating crows for too long at bank rate of 1/2%.
Bitcoin is not going anywhere after SEC approves spot Bitcoin ETF.
I bought some Swiss Francs, thats just me.

You are in UK,how about BAE SYSTEM stock, weapon manufacturers are very much in demand these days !

-the fact that the dirty money has landed in a bank account or Paypal account is too late to hide?
buy some physical gold

Find a bank which does not need to do business with any US bank

Hardware Wallet or precious metal buried in the ground in a waterproof container, add in some desiccants just in case. Litter nearby ground with ferrous debris to increase metal detector difficulty. If crypto, hold your coin of choice, memorize your private key or setup multisig with those you trust.

Imagine forgetting your private key and losing access to your own crypto. You can use a password manager.

This topic just reminded me of the scene in breaking bad with the massive pile of cash in the storage lockup. I know it's not cash we're talkin about.

Is WMT walmart?

We don't have those here. :D ASDA here is owned by Walmart.

Isn't it difficult to then cash in the giftcards when you need the cash? Resell them? Seems a hassle. Better off with gold bars like you said.

Good point,I dont know you can get cash back from WMT.
But WMT and Paypal both sell a DEBIT CARD where you pay a fee each month and they will let you deposit more money and the money is kept with a bank under one account so no outsider knows you have money with them,
But I dont think it is available in your country

Control of ASDA was transferred to the Issa brothers (and TDR Capital) 3 years ago albeit that Walmart still have an investment in it.

I agree that gold is a good way of accumulating 'hidden' wealth.

It's high value (too high at the moment for me to consider dropping a lot of money into it) and low volume - easy to stockpile in a tiny safe at home.

Britannia's are VAT free too. This might sound a little soppy, but they're really cool to own. Whilst they can be disposed of quickly and easily if needs be, there's someone appealing about owning them.

I bought some about 10 years ago for about £750 each with the intention of unloading them if they hit £1,000 each. Current trading at around £1,500 and I still own them.

Open a Citi bank account. They allow you to drain gift card money through their online app.

What does that mean? How’s it work?

Just curious. I may not even be able to open one of those accounts where I am. Don’t actually need to do it myself.
