All Dhgate sellers use this method, any packages under 20KG they ship via EMS anything over that is a HUGE flag and almost guarantee seizure for customs.

So to avoid a loss on both ends, sellers will pay a little more and ship them to you via DHL. They do this because they are also making more by you ordering more.

Also keep in mind 20KG is about 40-44lbs, so would be a large order to weigh that much.

If the dvds is be sent to middle of USA by EMS,the packages wil be very easy to be seized by custom,specially for the 20kgs above

as you know,safety is much important than price,you need to make your packages pass custom safely,and then you can continue to make profit.

Is it safer to get a package shipped as a company or as a individual? Should you trade off different names (Jane Doe or John Doe) for the packages or not have more than one package come in at the same time...Thanks teedon for your previous answers. Like to know also what others think! (and also what teedon thinks)

For the sender,it is better to use company name to shipping.For the receiver,it is ok for personal name ,and it is ok for shipping two packages each day for same address if your packages is not too big.Also you can not mark the packages as "dvds",you need to write some other decription just like children tools ,this way you can reduce the possiblity of reized by us custom.

Not only is it slow but their website is repulsive. I just found out not too long ago that I could also use usps.com to track EMS...:rant:

I had a package mailed on 12/13 - and I still have not received it. I was promised I'd get it by Christmas, and now its well after the new year and still nothing! The latest info on the tracking says "dispatch from china".. EMS shipping.

i do not think there is any delay for the packages from china to uk,i have sent a couple of dvds packages to uk recently,it show the shipping is very smoothly.
