Certainly there is a line between what this guy did and what you and I do everyday... sure. If you're not greedy, get a job at taco bell and get a reliable income.

Gordon Gecko said it best... "Greed is good."
Don't tell me you're not greedy. Everyone loves more money.

If these people made this much money committing blatantly illegal things, at some point they should have cashed out and started a different legit business.

We are not arguing, we are discussing.

Right.

1) He is not 100% stealth.

2) He has lots of other illegal things involved.

3) "The company’s system did not catch this fraud until it had sustained hundreds of thousands of dollars in auction fee losses."

But yes, over the years there have been many such cases. Whatever eBay does, there will always be fraud. Fraud has been a problem since the dawn of time, it is not a product of the internet.

I've stuck ebay for fees before... sure. I refused to pay because they kicked me off! How dare they? I don't think refusing to pay an invoice in itself is fraud. Shouldn't ebay have a certain responsibility at some point to suspend selling privileges when an invoice goes unpaid? What if this man set up an LLC or corporation to accept liability for the fees?

I think it is all up to the AMOUNT..

If you donot ship half a million $$$ of items, surely it is a problem.

If you donot ship 15 items, then you can say different kinds of excuses

Again, a fraud in legal meaning is when it reaches a certain amount.

Not paying $900 Ebay fee,,, different from not paying $90K Ebay fee.
