I have not seen your competition but If you had marketed it like them, you would have got more than 57 votes.
For example you should have used your facebook/twitter/myspace/youtube networks to gain more exposure.
There are some people on my facebook account who have like 5000 odd contacts & I bet you, if they had filtered this clip through their facebook network alone had they been in your shoes, they would have got a major response surpassing not only that 57 but that 500 figure.
