Do any of you have a sports car?
Do you guys recommend any because I'm thinking about getting rid of the infiniti and move on to something new! :)

Leasing is a smart idea but to me its like renting a house you dont get anything out of it in the end.
Did you buy the hummer h1 used or new?
Is it yours because its a really nice suv :)

The difference between leasing a Car and renting a house is that with a car, you'll eventually upgrade/replace the car. Homes last longer than Cars. Plus, once your house is outdated, all you do is remodel. With a car, you'll have to replace it. Most of use replace it within a few years, plus like Greenbean said, mechanical costs will go up as the car ages. For me it makes sense, my Titan is aging. I have about 88k miles on it already, by the 100k mark I'm going to have to replace it to avoid any costly repairs...luckily it's been a great truck so far.

I passed by an Infinity Dealership and I got me a G37 brochure...it's one sexy car. Also, it's not too expensive for a luxury/sports car. Depending on the trim you desire, it's starts at 34k I believe...you should expect 40k after taxes/destination charges, etc. The best thing about it, it's a V6! I'll get twice the MPG's as my current truck...

John14789 07-10-2008 12:18 PM

Yeah I guess your right about the car getting older and such. My infiniti has 101k on it and thank God the only expensive reapir cost about $1,500. Well anyways I don want to go and get a g37 I don't want another infiniti. Well people any suggestions on any sport cars or if to lease or not I'd just buy the car?

imthatguy 07-10-2008 04:21 PM

Leasing rocks. i dont think i will ever buy a car again. last car i bought was my BMW 745i which I still have

John14789 07-10-2008 04:57 PM

Unfortunately bmw doesnt make the 745i anymore :(
Im gonna buy a couple cars I always liked then I'm gonna lease a couple but I don't know if I should lease right now or buy.

I plan in the next 2 years to get a Ranger Rover Sport. ummmmmmmmmmm i will have it!

John14789 07-10-2008 09:13 PM

The range rover is on the top of my list I cars to get. But 100k is a lot for that car.

djmuggs 07-11-2008 12:02 AM

That car looks to be in pretty good condition and you got a pretty good deal! Not bad if this is your first car or if your a young driver. I like the '07 audi but the new '08 doesnt look that good because they messed up the back of the car and it looks ugly.

pauluss 07-11-2008 06:36 AM

I have not owned a car for over 2 years now as have everything on my doorstep under 15 mins walk or cycle away - the money you save over the long term is unreal - car payment, insurance, tax, maintainence and esp now with the high petrol costs

I got myself a few nice bikes for road and offroad

Currently I have a mint condition 1997 e320 benz. As soon as I make about another 4-8000k on eBay I will be buying a 2004 e55 amg or 2003 s55 with designo and all upgrades in cash.:D

aspkin 07-14-2008 05:19 PM

I think I'm in that period of my life where I've had enough fun with cars for now. And it's time to be serious and stop wasting money on them. I'm going to start putting my money into houses for their value rather then waste it with cars.

greg2414 07-14-2008 06:16 PM

Pauluss, a pedaless bike? :p

noel123ie 07-15-2008 03:23 AM

Thanks
Noel

Hello Friends,

I love cars but not yet decided. Which one to drive. Busy always with my forex trading.

aking 10-30-2008 12:33 PM

I drive a 95 Acura Legend, a 93 Honda Accord, and a 1971 Chevy Impala convertible.

All my cars are paid for (not that they are expensive cars) but I just do not want another bill. I love my cars (gas savers) not the impala, but that my Sunday cruiser with the wife and kids. :)

TGMT² 10-30-2008 11:14 PM

When I bought mine I settled on the 2006 Ford Ranger Edge. I wanted the Toyota Tacoma Prerunner, but couldn't justify the $5000 more it would cost to get.

So far there have been no issues with the Ford Ranger at 28,000 miles.

And "Yes" I bought it outright...NO Payments!

aspkin 10-30-2008 11:29 PM

Sell it before it hits 50k miles. :)

Was anyone able to pay cash for their vehicles with ebay profits?
