Mumford and Sons all day everyday.

I would give my right leg to see them live. Going to make it happen next tour after they get back from Europe.

Eaaaaasssssyyy Over there,,,,the Reason that there are Soooo Many styles of Music is simply because there are Sooooo Many Different tastes,,,the word POP is short for POPULAR, there is NOTHING wrong with that, Nor is there anythin wrong with artists like AC/DC, Roberta Flack, Culture Club, Missing Persons, Armand Van Helden, The Tramps, Lady GaGa, Dean Martin, Monotix, Madonna, Rone, LNR, and THOUSANDS More,,

The ABSOLUTE Biggest Mistake that anyone with aspirations on being in the Music Industry can make is when the start to believe that the Music that they create or like is the End All, Be All, and that all other Styles Suck, musicians like that NEVER go far, they usually wind up as One Hit Wonders,,,

Those who Understand and RESPECT all Forms of Music go VERY Far,,Take at the Latest Example,,,Lady GaGa and Tony Bennet,,,that is just the Most recent,,,Do you Know how MANY other GREAT songs were born as a result of Various different syles of musicians comming together, I could name 1 or 2 More if you like,,

The Point here is to RESPECT EVERY Style of Music and the People into them,,,That is also Known as "Broadening Your Horizons"

I agree and I am a perfect example of this.

I listen to anything from classic rock to country from the 90's on till today to easy listening.

The only music I do not listen to is rap. It is not music it is yapping.

Other then that I can go from Beatles to Kiss to Journey to Ac/DC, Raschal Flatts, Carrie Underwood and back to Styx, Fleetwood Mac, Phil Collins etc.

Any of you guys listen to Macklemore?

If not, I def recommend you check him out.

derbydave 02-05-2013 04:08 PM

oooh, a music thread. let's see:

BT
Hybrid
Way Out West
Nitrous Oxide/N20
Crowded House
Mike Oldfield
CJ Bolland
Adam Freeland
Jerome Isma-Ae

Lots of stuff really. Anything except (most)pop/rap/David Guetta. Anyone that likes Guetta is a massive ****. I shouldn't even dignify that bellend with capital letters.

Lightfoot and Morrisette I know very well.

Both have awesome unique voices.

One of the country stars from the early 90s was from Ca but cannot remember the name.

id have loved to have gone to usa... i have many net dj friends all over the world but always wanted to go to usa...and maybe still one will
watching old movies like beat street, breakdance and wild style i just would have loved to have been there at that time in music =}
sounds like you had a great time too working in the music biz... great to read about that
i agree i doubt i could never run a top 10... would take me 100 years to figure out what would be in the top 10 haha
if i had a time machine i would go back and do it all again and more
