Back in the Day there was a Club in Chicago called "The Bank" because it was built inside an Old Bank, The DJ Booth was in the Old Banks Vault, That is Where Marshall Jefferson, JM Silk, Col Abrams, Ralphie Rosario, and MANY More Spun Records by Night,,,and Created HOUSE MUSIC by Day,,
The term "House Music" was actually intended to "Brand" the Bank with its Very own Sound, which it would offer to its customers, Much the Same way Restaurants offer "House Wines",,,Problem was that House Music became To Damm Big for the Bank, too Big for Chicago, Too Big even for the USA,,
By the way today "The Bank" is now called "The Bedford",,and it still a Club/Restaurant, Just VERY Upscale Nowadays,,, The Bedford – Wicker Park Chicago |
