This song is a real fav atm.
"selling on ebay with 100+ accounts and they ain't even know it"
:spy::violin::sleepy::thumb: |
In the original song by Rocko, Rick Ross stirred a lot of controversy with his Molly lyrics. He lost his Reebok backing when he did not respond well to the controversy.
I like the beat though :thumb: |

| Sandy D | 04-16-2013 07:12 PM | I was around 10 or so and my older siblings listened to this music a lot and it stuck with me.
Remember one of my older sisters being crazy about the Bee Gees.
As I got older I found myself listening to more 78-84 music then anything that was done in the mid to late 80's.
For me that group of bands, singers talent from the late 70s to the mid 80s cannot be touched. Quote:

Sandy that may have been the "Last Hurrah" for talent,,,Sooooo Much has changed since then,,,the Biggest Change was MTV,,It got so bad by the 90's that MUSICAL Acts had to have MORE Talent LOOKING good than SOUNDING good,,,TOTALLY ABSURD,,,,if the Rolling Stones began in the 90's, chances are that because the band was VISUALLY unappealing, they might have never made it, can you even fathom that thought,, I mean lets face it, without the Fame,,Mick Jagger Would have spent MANY a Lonely night,
Then all those Remixes, for EVERY Song, there was a Mix that Fit EVERY Musical Taste, Dance Versions, Rock Versions, ect, ect, Sh^t it even got to the point that Hard Driving Dance mixes were made out of BALLADS like Celine Dions, My Heart Will go On, all that served to do was allow record companies to make more money from 1 Song, There by NOT investing or taking a chance on other songs, or artists, do you have any ides how much GREAT Music goes completely Unheard by the Majority of the Public?,,it is almost Criminal,,,
There was a WHOLE Lot more, and NONE of good, but thats life,, |
| Sandy D | 04-17-2013 09:32 PM | Sure many talk about Janet and Michael, the big air bands etc being the best of 80's but still they do not compare to those on my list that made the best music ever. No time period will ever or has ever touched the music of that period of late 70s to early 80s in my opinion.
Some great songs, bands before and after but nothing like a large group like we had during those times. These bands, singers etc were and are icons today. Something we wont find in 1990s-2000s music much at all. |
| Sandy D | 04-17-2013 09:37 PM | Off the top of my heads this group of bands were the greatest ever and they will forever be remembered for their music, talent, singers, performances and what they did to change music.
No certain order, just off the top of my head.
Eagles
Chicago
Journey
Styx
Boston
Foreigner
Toto
Fleetwood Mac
Kiss
Bee Gees
REO Speedwagon
Aerosmith
Air Supply
Little River Band
Queen
Steve Miller Band
Hall and Oates
Pat Benatar
Survivor
Asia
A Flock of Seagulls
Men at Work
Police
Duran Duran
Abba
Maddona
Eric Carmen
John Fogerty
Freddie Mercury
If you like this type and era of music please add to my list. |

First off Record Companies SIMPLY do not Promote nearly the Number of Acts that they did in the 70's for the reasons I wrote about in my last Post,,
THEN, there is TECHNOLOGY, Nowadays ANYONE, can have a ENTIRE Band or orchestra, all by Him/Her self right on their own Computer, where they can "Play" EVERY Instrument themselves to achieve the EXACT sound they want,,No More looking for the "Right" Drummer, Bassist, or whatever, that is the BIGGEST reason that there are no more Bands or "Supergroups", Nowadays a "Band" is more likely to just Dance together and where all the members cannot play a single instrument, and believe me it is not at at all a bad thing, it is just Different thats all |

Only thing better than a live gig is TWO

| Sandy D | 04-21-2013 07:46 PM | Do not know what happened to this lady but she was awesome back in the 1990s.
One of the best pure voices in country. First one is a bit scratchy.
For those who do not like country music, you cannot help to love the pure clear voice of this lady. |
Lita Ford Close my eyes forever |

| Sandy D | 04-27-2013 11:15 PM | Went to Epcot this evening and was shocked.
Heard familiar songs playing on the band stand.
Got close and it was ELO live.
Legends from before my time but I grew up to my older siblings listening to them.
Loved it!
They did several of their hit songs like these and for their age they did very well! |
