had this problem with them years ago, to no avail. someone on the forum is having similar problems with a company abroad. seems to be a highly unregulated part of the business they can take advantage of

Are you sure you are only 3 days into your billing cycle (keep in mind wireless companies will change your billing cycle for the smallest of reasons)? Is it possible your plan shares data with other devices like a wireless phone? Is it possible you have anything running in the back round on your computer that is constantly using data? To use 3.5 gigs in 3 days it would have to be something major like an online game, an app that is constantly connecting to the internet to check for large volume data, or streaming or downloaded media.

If worst comes to worst, I would ask them to provide me a detailed statement of data usage? They are compelled to provide you with proof of usage in order to bill you for such.

Also why verizon? They are very expensive and there are some possible unlimited options for the same price.

Yeah Verizon is expensive but at least my wife gets 20% off thru a deal with her employer. If you are anywhere around nyc and tristate area verizon has the best coverage by far. Worth the extra bucks IMO.
