Aldon Smith with another DUI. Very disappointing. 49ers need to win their next couple games otherwise it is begging to feel like this thing could spiral out of control. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Interesting how Kaepernick will bounce back and see if Colts have changed up with the new acquisition hah |

Also think the Cardinals will put up a good one against the Saints but very hard to bet against the Saints at home. Lol, also I wouldn't be surprised if the SeaHawks beat the Jaguars 41-0 at home. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Hah Seahawks...going to be fun one
Nice Lions win to break the 0-21 loss streak at Washington....Washington at 0-3 - wow. |

Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Funny seeing Alex Smith, who the 49ers did dirty last year, move onto Kansas City and start off 3-0 there. Meanwhile the 49ers are struggling at 1-2. Kaepernick is overrated IMO.
Also, look for GRONK to return for the Patriots next week versus the Atlanta Falcons |

Also, look for GRONK to return for the Patriots next week versus the Atlanta Falcons | Alex to good of a person to be on the 49ers classless organization. What team allows a player who gets their 2nd DUI two days before the game play? I think Harbaugh would sell out his own mother to win a game. |
| An0nym0u$ | 09-22-2013 08:35 PM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun I wish I had something positive to say...my 0-3 Giants are stinking up the place.
Can't block, can't avoid turnovers, too many costly mistakes...just terrible.
I need to watch my old DVDs of them winning Superbowls. That's the only winning Giants teams I'll see anytime soon. |

He is very inconsistent all year long but plays good when the games count.
Then again he has had good teams around him to help him while Peyton always seems to have a hurt key player or something when needed. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun And Denver drills Oakland - 3-0...Manning |
| Sandy D | 09-25-2013 02:21 AM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Denver is a well oiled machine.
Great D and it appears Manning has the offense in a click that any defense will struggle in stopping.
49ers look like the team to beat on paper but dont count out the Broncos either. |

49ers look like the team to beat on paper but dont count out the Broncos either. | If the Seahawks are #1 seed in the NFC and get home field I don't see anyone beating them at home. Maybe New Orleans can get the top seed. But in the NFC, if the Seahawks get the top seed I really don't see anyone as of now knocking them off. As of right now looks like a Broncos vs Seahawks Superbowl. For some AFC West fans they remember all the close games when the Seahawks where in the AFC West back in the 90's. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun That stadium of Seahawks is intense - would love to be able to experience it...good point on the close game of the 90s....their time is about right |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Saints Vs. Dolphins - both 3-0 in progress. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun What Denver and Manning are doing is nothing impressive to me. Their schedule was ranked #1 easiest in the league. People and media comparing them to the undefeated 2007 Patriots is laughable to me, especially since that Patriots team had the 3rd HARDEST schedule that year.
I also don't see them winning the SuperBowl. I think Manning will wear down towards the end of the season and especially in cold weather. He's choked often in the playoffs, with a record of 9-11. (Keep in mind he even got to play in a dome when he was on the Colts). Anyway even IF they made it to the SuperBowl...it's being played in New York. February weather in NY will be veryyyy cold. |

They surely dont have the talent of even the best 4-5 teams in the league. |

They surely dont have the talent of even the best 4-5 teams in the league. | Because they look awesome at home. They are the perfect dome/turf team. They look like world beaters in their Superdome.
They've played 4 games and are 4-0...3 of them have been at home. So naturally, everyone thinks they are great.
Oh & the one road game they played, how did they do? They struggled to beat the lowly Buccaneers 16-14, who are spiraling downhill with all their internal issues.
If the Saints have the #1 seed in the NFC, I can see them going to the Super Bowl. The season they won it all is a perfect example.
BUT if they are a lower seed and have to go on the road, they will lose because they are not a good 'cold weather' team. I know Seattle is a dome, but that place is a madhouse and I can't see any road team winning a playoff game there either. |
| Sandy D | 10-03-2013 02:59 PM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun A lot of people like Seattle.
Anyone else thing like I do that Pete Carroll is a master of a coach.
When he was at USC I enjoyed watching him coach and do things most others coaches only dream of.
He know how to use what talent he has and pulls out their abilities at the perfect time. |
| An0nym0u$ | 10-03-2013 03:49 PM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Winning will make a coach look like a genius. Remember, Pete didn't have great success as the Jets or Patriots head coach, even though his teams weren't that bad.
He revitalized USC and he hasn't stopped winning since. |

When they draft they get a decent player that ends up in trouble or something.
Ex Kellen Winslow Jr was a total bust. |
| vogeltron | 10-05-2013 03:34 AM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Saints are playing like the did in 2009. High powered offense and getting all the turnovers exactly when the need them. The Saints are solid and since they have been able to distance themselves from the Falcons a bit so far they very well could make a playoff run.
However, my Superbowl pick is officially the Chiefs. Put down a decent amount of money at 15/1 odds in Nevada last week. I like their defense, I like the don't turn the ball over QB play and the Special teams. Broncos I admit are still the team to beat in the AFC and the same Division the AFC West. I do think the different match-ups between the Chiefs/Broncos/Chargers are going to be interesting. Rivers and the Chargers in my opinion could be under the Raydar. They have lost a few games they should have won. But Rivers is finally looking like and elite QB again, they are playing solid football on both sides. I see them as a team that can possibly upset a few teams coming down the stretch. Even win a road WC game if they make the playoffs.
Seahawks at the Colts this week should tell us much about how good the Seahawks really are. They are dynamite at home, if they get home field throughout the NFC I don't think anyone can beat them. The question is can they win the games on the road, the squeaked them out vs the Texans and Panthers. Indy should be a good test. Also if Indy can play well and make a statement in this game. They very well could prove they belong in the conversation for top teams in the NFL.
Great thing I love about the NFL is how it changes from week to week. Even though every game is important it is a long season and is always interesting to see how things play out going through November into December. |

Wow, going out on a limb with the Chiefs. Coach should have left Philly years before this as he needed a change. |

Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Denver vs. Cowboys was so close - quite the defeat of the 'Boys -thriller though |
| An0nym0u$ | 10-06-2013 07:32 PM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun That was a wild game...very exciting. Manning is on another level. Barring something catastrophic, I see him breaking all of these records:
1. Total touchdowns in a season
2. Passing yards in a season
3. Total Completions
4. Completion percentage
5. Passer rating
Oh and I just read he broke (or tied) these records tonight...
-most TDs to start a season w/o an interception (20 tds)
-most TDs in first 5 games of a season
-added to his already record of most games with >4 TDs in a game
Footnote: He passed Dan Marino for #2 all time for most total passing yards in NFL history. He might have a shot to get to Brett Favre.. which is another 10K yards, if he plays 2 more years. |
