If Manning wins it could bring save his relevance and help him get past that Postseason woes he has had his entire career.

Marino and Montana were the two best of their era. Montana had all the talent and great teams and Marino was stuck with a couple of WR and not much other talent around him.

I would put Marino and Montana at the top of any top QBS of their era and maybe event the top 10 of all time.

You seem to judge QBs by how many SBs they have won. I do not. It counts but does not weigh everything. There have been some great QBS who never even made it to the SB.

Going to stick with my Sept prediction of Broncos vs 49ers in the Super Bowl.

Pats can be scary but with so many injuries everywhere I dont think they can shut down Manning and all those weapons.

49ers should beat Seahawks but Seahawks D might be the best in the league.

2 great games could go either way.

Hoping the 49ers pull through the Seahawks - past playoff experience should help but Seahawks vs Broncos would be the interesting matchup that MANY people predicted...

I dont recall seeing anyone predicting the Seahawks going to the SB vs the Broncos.

I read around - was seeing that. 49ers track record vs Seahawks is weak but here's hoping.

Broncos vs Pats is going to be very solid skillful game

Hard to compare side by side so you have to factor in everything.

It will be a matter of opinion because both are good, Peyton is better in my opinion overall.

Still think Peyton had some talent around him but never the talent Brady has had on BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL.

Pats teams were always loaded with great players on both sides.

Guess the only person who can answer would be Wes Welker.

This says a lot :d (number 1 note on the list)

To me it is so even on most everything but when it comes down to who is the most valuable player to a team, Manning is way ahead so for me, it would again go with Manning if I had to vote.

I like Brady and actually followed the Pats for many years but the only true person to know the answer would be Wes Welker.

I like Wilson but I hate the Seattle defense. On every passing play they should be called for defensive pass interference or defensive holding but they never are because it's illuminatied.

Pete Carroll.

Masterful coach who knows the game extremely well and always take advantages of anything he can to win.

Interesting take - the interference is pretty sloppy on their part

glad to see some people pulling for the 49ers… My time since I was a little kid. Great to see them in the post-season the past 3 years. Heartbroken when they lost the SB last year, hoping they go all the way this year.

Tomorrow games are going to be awesome.

Denver and SF offense can flat out be scary. If those two teams put up a lot of scores I dont know if NE and Seattle can match it.

Will see.

I would hope not as I picked 3 of the final 4 teams back in Sept.

If SF and Denver go to the super bowl I just won at least 1000.00 in a poll as I would be the only one in the poll to have picked those two.

Wont do less then 500.00 as I picked those 3 out of the 4 final teams.

I would hate to take your money NYC. :)

He is so darn smart and way ahead of anyone playing the game.

He knows everyone's moves, changes the plays based on so many factors.

Last drive he completey abused the Pats D with time and smart plays.

His audibles show he is a master because he sees something and makes it happen based on his knowledge.

Not many players ever could do this on every single play like he does.

Great play by Sherman... just some really poor sportsmanship by him though.

Anyone catch that interview he did with Erin Andrews on the field after time expired... FOX had to cut it short cuz he was getting crazy...lol.

A total idiot.

Then to say that Crabtree is not a very good player is plain stupid.

Pete Carroll as I have mentioned before is an amazing football mind and found a way in the second half to get Seattle going.

I was never a USC fan but always watched him on the sidelines work his major.

Now have the ultimate brain Manning vs the football mind of Carroll going head to head.

Best offense v the best defense.

Sad for 49ers because Kapernick was so on and off all game long. I dont think he has the talent to get much better and you cannot win big games without going down the field and scoring like the other top QBs can do. I dont think he has it in him.

Cap should of getting running the ball. He ran 11 times for 130 yards. I wasn't able to watch the game but based on statistics I don't know why he stopped running.

If Tim Tebow could throw and had semi decent accuracy you could call him Kapernick. Guy sucks. He can not go through a progression in the pocket. He stares down one receiver and has Zero ability to scan the field.

The 49ers got lucky in both the Packers and Panthers game he threw what should have been Pick 6's. Even Joe Montana came out this week and said it perfectly. He needs to learn how to throw from the pocket.

Both picks the one he tried to squeeze into Boldin. Kendell Hunter was wide open. The last one Vernon was open on the sideline. But that is what happens when you can't go through a progression and stare at one receiver the whole time.

Being from the area and watching all the 49ers games. I think the Niners will likely draft a QB to develop. Give Kapernick one more chance to prove he can become a pocket passer. Or get rid of him. You can't be a run first QB going into your 30's.

I agree. They let go of Smith to make room for him which originally thought was a good move. Now after today I am thinking what a mistake.

They now have weapons all around but the the QB cannot throw the ball to them and is a one dimensional player they might as well go for a real QB.

Blake Bortles from central Florida is a perfect NFL QB who can sit for a year or two and then come in and do well.

Dont know where SF picks in the draft and they surely dont need any holes filled.

49ers have lots of picks. I doubt they would make a trade to go up that high. But Bortles does kind of remind me of Flacco or Roethlisberger. A QB with NFL size coming from not a big NCAA conference.

I will give Kapernick credit for making plays with his feet. But as far as QB play and I hate to say it. But Alex Smith probably would have won that game. He for sure would not have thrown those two INTs.

Modell’s Sporting Goods forced to donate $500,000 in Patriots AFC championship clothing!

Leagues print gear for both teams every year (the hats and shirts the Broncos were wearing minutes after the game were printed ahead of time, obviously, and the Patriots would have had the same gear if they won), but Modell's wanted the merchandise ready for fans the moment the game ended and paid for it. Denver defeated New England, 26-16, in the championship game, leaving the department store with plenty of stuff nobody wants to buy.
