Like the Bengals with all those No 1 and 2 top draft choices for years that failed they can never field a young strong fast team for some reason.

When they draft they get a decent player that ends up in trouble or something.
Ex Kellen Winslow Jr was a total bust.

Saints are playing like the did in 2009. High powered offense and getting all the turnovers exactly when the need them. The Saints are solid and since they have been able to distance themselves from the Falcons a bit so far they very well could make a playoff run.

However, my Superbowl pick is officially the Chiefs. Put down a decent amount of money at 15/1 odds in Nevada last week. I like their defense, I like the don't turn the ball over QB play and the Special teams. Broncos I admit are still the team to beat in the AFC and the same Division the AFC West. I do think the different match-ups between the Chiefs/Broncos/Chargers are going to be interesting. Rivers and the Chargers in my opinion could be under the Raydar. They have lost a few games they should have won. But Rivers is finally looking like and elite QB again, they are playing solid football on both sides. I see them as a team that can possibly upset a few teams coming down the stretch. Even win a road WC game if they make the playoffs.

Seahawks at the Colts this week should tell us much about how good the Seahawks really are. They are dynamite at home, if they get home field throughout the NFC I don't think anyone can beat them. The question is can they win the games on the road, the squeaked them out vs the Texans and Panthers. Indy should be a good test. Also if Indy can play well and make a statement in this game. They very well could prove they belong in the conversation for top teams in the NFL.

Great thing I love about the NFL is how it changes from week to week. Even though every game is important it is a long season and is always interesting to see how things play out going through November into December.

Was thinking similar thoughts.

Changes from now are going to be interesting for final positions on the table.

Wow, going out on a limb with the Chiefs. Coach should have left Philly years before this as he needed a change.

Denver vs. Cowboys was so close - quite the defeat of the 'Boys -thriller though

That was a wild game...very exciting. Manning is on another level. Barring something catastrophic, I see him breaking all of these records:

1. Total touchdowns in a season
2. Passing yards in a season
3. Total Completions
4. Completion percentage
5. Passer rating

Oh and I just read he broke (or tied) these records tonight...

-most TDs to start a season w/o an interception (20 tds)
-most TDs in first 5 games of a season
-added to his already record of most games with >4 TDs in a game

Footnote: He passed Dan Marino for #2 all time for most total passing yards in NFL history. He might have a shot to get to Brett Favre.. which is another 10K yards, if he plays 2 more years.

Manning is on fire.

Without checking isnt Denver on a roll for points scored closing in on a record?

Lowest has been 37 with the rest over 40 and 2 games of 50.

Last team to score this easily was the Pats when they had Moss if I remember.

Wow great game in BIG D.

3 things are guaranteed in life. Death, Taxes and Tony Romo finding a way to blow the game in a critical situation.

Guy makes some of the best plays you see. But then he always finds a way to blow it. I hate to say I feel bad for a guy who signed a $100 million contract. But man has blown some games. I mean that fumble on the FG to win the playoff game in Seattle. You gotta be kidding me.

Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun

@Romo, 500+ yards and blows the game with a crucial Interception - he does blow some key games.

One Manning is up 5-0 - the other is down 0-5 hah - Giants loss was something too

Romo is not even average to me. So many mistakes.

He does not have the skills to take them to a Super Bowl and win it.

Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun

I agree Tony Romo is the most over-rated QB in the NFL but he did play well yesterday. I was really surprised how close it was. Not too many other teams will make it as good of a game against the Broncos.

Dh was watching the Jets beat Atlanta last night and said one thing he hates to see if Rex Ryan happy as he believes is he on of the rudest coaches ever.

Anyone ask him a tough question he become nasty.

Good for Geno Smith because Mark Sanchez is not the QB he thinks he is.

Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun

Disappointing for Atlanta though - rough.

As for Romo, every station was airing top 10 fail moments of Romo...hah not clutch at all
