Easy on the assumptions - played a ton of sports Sandy ...I dont make assumptions :)

I liked the cuteness of the word - that's why I emphasized it.

Anyhow yes Kentucky is playing solid right now and tempo is with them...going to be a fun game

Dang rsot you cannot take a joke, but sure like to make your comments.

You need not to be so harsh when someone pokes at you out of fun.

Like I tell my kids, if you cannot handle it, do not dish it out.

This is not a one way street with you making the rules like you love to do.

Calm down and have some fun.

Huge win for the Warriors tonight vs the Mavericks. Since they will get blown out vs the Spurs tomorrow. The 4 team battle for those last 3 playoff spots is going to be interesting. Would hate to be the team that doesn't make it. Considering the complete joke teams in the east that will make the playoffs.

I agree. Lousy teams will take the place of some good teams and lose the first round quickly.

You're Sandy D - that's the problem when I type at work - work tends to get on me a bit so my humour is off :) you're right on easing up ...

Anyhow, Toronto looked decent vs the Heat but failure was imminent the other night

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

Going to come down to who wants it more.

Hard to believe Indiana center Hibert made the comment his team does not deserve the no. 1 seed.

Unless it is to spark them what a comment to make.

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

Spurs just keep winning. It is absolutely amazing the consistency this team has had for the past 15 years. I also have to give Marco Belinelli much credit. He has turned himself into a nice NBA player. Another former Warrior Draft pick on other teams in the NBA. LOL, I guess that is what happens when you get top 10 picks for like 12 years and you only top 3 pick you was on Mike Dunleavy. Granted it was a crummy draft year.

rsot 04-03-2014 05:08 AM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

The Warriors do have some nice picks that have moved on

They play consistent and sound. If you dont fit in you are gone quickly.
Might be Duncans last year.

If they win the Championship I could see him walking away like David Robinson did when Duncan was early in his career. But then again. When you are cashing a $10+ million pay check and will be for sure retired by no later than 42-43. Hard to pass up the money. Especially in a city that loves him.

Duncan can't play the minutes he use to. But big men are so hard to find in today's NBA. It is more Ginobili whose skills have deteriorated significantly, as great as he has been I would ponder his future.

Duncan was always fun to watch

Kentucky and UConn

Who you got?

Posted in the chat. Just think if Kentucky still had those 4 players who went to the NBA how awesome they would be.

Kudos to Wisconsin, they really played every game hard and did well.

I gotta go with KY. I really wanted Louisville to beat them in the sweet 16 because I did not think KY would go all the way. I was wrong. They are not all the way yet, but they def deserve to play in the championship game.

Go KENTUCKY!!!

Kentucky probably has more talent. I am going with UCONN in the upset.

I expect the UCONN sweep for both the Men's and Women's tourney.

Quite the end game of Kentucky vs Wisconsin.

UConn blew out Florida - surprising.

I am in ESPN and Yahoo polls and I will take a look.

I know several had Kentucky winning it on the ESPN polls.

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

About 1.5k brackets had these 2 in the finals out of 1 million as per Yahoo (or some close source).

Going to be a good game tonight!

Sandy D 04-07-2014 05:24 PM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

4 people picked these two in the 100k challenge brackets for Quicken loans.

One member who had the most points at the time forgot to fill in his winner of tonights game.

The others picked Uconn, if he had picked Ky and

and Ky wins he just tossed 100k into the trash can.

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

I said Napier was the best player in the tourney and he took over this game when they needed it.

Ky just too young and cannot shot free throws.

Mistakes killed Kentucky.

Congrats to UConn.

I do not think they were overall more talented then many teams but they constantly played hard and Napier is going to be a good point guard in the NBA.

rsot 04-08-2014 11:54 AM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

Indeed - Kentucky missed a lot of free throws: that and the subpar first half did cost them the game.

UConn looking to sweep both men and women tournaments this year...

Sandy D 04-08-2014 04:40 PM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

Free throws killed them.

Randles Mom was a former college basketball player and told them if they lose it will be because of missed free throws.

And they did. Missed a ton of them when they needed them.

Still think this KY team lost 4 players to NBA and wondered how good they would be with those 4 players still playing.

rsot 04-09-2014 09:33 AM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

True - the 4 players would have made good impact but ...in the end...all about the clutch free throws - should not have missed so many ....when it's such a routine throw

Hate to see how the NBA has become a positioning for seeds by losing games so they have an easier matchup in round one.

And others are losing on purpose to get high draft picks.

Brooklyn is much better then people think and they play.

Hard matchups with some of their players.

But Orlando beat them so Toronto should be ok.

bruenor9 04-17-2014 11:11 PM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

Brooklyn is a whole different playoff team though. Paul KG are all playoff beasts

rsot 04-18-2014 10:07 AM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

Yes - most ppl in Toronto wanted Washington in the first round...oh well we will see if the Raptors can pull through

bruenor9 04-18-2014 10:46 AM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

They should be. Derozan and lowry really stepping up. If we do win this series we will make a big statement

rsot 04-18-2014 11:01 AM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

I dont see the Raptors getting through the second round even if they win this one but you never know

bruenor9 04-18-2014 11:58 AM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

People didn't even expect us to be in the playoffs.
I'm thinking we can reach the 3rd round, but yeh we will see

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

Clippers and Warriors is going to be a knock down fight to the end.

Must see.

My best guess right now is seeing the rematch of the Spurs and Heat.

Pacers are falling apart and OKC seems to be having issues so some other team like the Clippers or Mavs might have to step up but doubtful.

bruenor9 04-18-2014 08:01 PM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

Pacers falling apart will be key for Raptors.

Im so pumped tomorrow. First playoff game I'm gonna see as a raptors fan. Been so long lol.

Finally some really good matchups in the NBA first round that I can remember.

vogeltron 04-19-2014 08:30 PM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

Can't believe the Warriors won without Bogut and all those turnovers.

Pacers are getting skunked by the Hawks too. Lots of good first round match ups.

Gamefreak 04-20-2014 12:17 AM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

pacers made the worst move by gaining the first seed. they really have no chance of making it to the finals the way they are playing while Miami will cruise pass the first round without breaking a sweat and well second round will be interesting to watch and will be the BEST series in the east if KG/paul play like the vets they are.

bruenor9 04-20-2014 09:32 AM

Re: NBA Followers & other Ball sports (NCAA too)

My raptors are gonna bounce back on monday hopefully, they played pretty bad too many turnovers. Masai Uirji though the raptors GM, he went outside of the ACC and talked to the fans screaming **** Brooklyn.
