Default To make life easier....

Someone from the forums should get a job on ebay + another person at PP.

Honestly called in today AGAIN and they transfer you over to another dept and tell you "one moment while I type up the information for the next dept so they already know..." sure enough the guy didn't do that cause the other guy said "can you please give me a run down in short of what is going on cause the last guy didn't type nothing" FML!

Someone here should really get a job there and PP. I did try to get a job at PP in my home country this year before I left.

Oh the joy.... that would of been. *a grin on the face with an evil laugh with friendly thoughts only*

Me thinks, they are not being truthful to you.

Here's why I think that...

The company I work for has an IVR (Interacactive Voice Response) system integrated with our VRU (Voice Response units). These fancy systems just gather data based on what you input while interacting with that robot on the line.

Before you speak to a CSR rep, they have on their screens the information you entered to get to them. We use a program call Navigator for our CSR agents and it's nicely displayed on their screen before you even speak to them (has your account number, name, etc).

Having said that, we're not a goliath company like eBay so I'm sure their system is far more advanced.

Honestly, I think that is a ploy to get you to rehash your story to make sure it coincides with what you previously said with the last agent. Maybe another way to get you to slip up.

So they will detect if you sound pissed off or not huh? You really think ebay has this? I mean couldn't they pay normal USA workers? OMG! WOW.

And this guy asked for my account info again when I got to him.

Ebay treats everyone like a murder eh?

I swear every time they slip up or screw up I want to stiff them the bill on that account but I just cool off anyways and keep my accounts.

How did you contact eBay btw? Did you use that one time passcode on the site or did you just dial directly?

Reason I ask, if you used that one time passcode on the website, then they definitely have everything on your account as soon as you dial in.

I don't use the passcode no more because every time I call (for European account) they don't ask for it or the system doesn't ask for it. It only asks you for a phone number, and since my European numbers never fly in that system I got to keep pressiong 0 or # key.

When I finally get to someone they say the passcode they don't got access too? So maybe I'm calling the wrong number?

Country dependant.

Different approaches between EU accounts and USA accounts.

( at least I have found this)

I would also put in a good word for you.

I would call them 20 times in different accents all the time just to make it sound like I am a 1 man army.

Rsot I know this might sound shocking to you but. I did the accents only because I had called in for verifying accounts PP in Europe. And they would transfer me to their dept for this type of thing.

And I got the same person on the phone 3 times in one day. And them not being able to detect that it's me again works great! I was shocked and scared bro! No joke. On the 4th time I just said screw it and hung up. I called in on another day.

I did a lot.

German to English.
French to English.
British Accent.
Irish Accent.
Australian Accent.
Hardly speak English (this one makes them be rude to you to the point they give you what you want because their ears are bleeding, but time on the phone is way longer).
Arabic to English.

At times I watch a few videos online of different accents just to get in the mood for it.

etc.

Once I had the same rep of PP on the phone 3 times in one day. I did British, German to English, then French to English. 4th time I hung up on them!

At times I get stuck in the accent than when my wife sees me she goes "oh you been doing that thing again huh?"
