Wow you are so full of knowledge. I got ie on it now. Thanks again for helping make this less hard for me:-)

Well received my Samsung ssd yesterday! I am kinda procrastinating on it because I don't want to mess anything up. Any hints or tips will be great full for.

It should come with cloning software so you can easily copy your entire HDD to your SSD. Then it's as simple as taking out 4 screws on the back of your laptop (I'm assuming you're using a laptop lol), unplugging two cables from your HDD, plugging those two cables into your SSD, and screwing the cover back on.

You can do it! Surely there are tons of youtube videos!

To answer your question from yesterday, yes your VM's will migrate to the SSD along with everything else on your current hard drive.

:-) thanks for reply and help. All done yes!the VM is much smoother! But it is saying I have it hooked to 1.5 and if I hook it up to 3 or something along those lines it will run more efficient? Does that mean I have more then 1 place I can hook it up to in my laptop? I only say one obvious place that it would go so just asking to be sure.

Not too sure about that one unless your laptop has two different speed SATA ports inside..

Haha. Yes, I was actually inspired as I walked you through your installation.

Ordered one from newegg when I first read this thread, along with 2 new 8gig RAM sticks.

Now everyone will underestimate my POS laptop
