Agreed. It’s best to ship it on your own.

They force you to use their label on your first sale but after the buyer leaves feedback for your first sold item, you're given the option to use external shipping labels.

Just making that known for posterity's sake.

Are you using one device to and one app to log in and accept, deny, counter offers from all your accounts?

Idk what has changed, but Mercari used to let me ship without using their labels by sending a message to buyer with tracking number (gave me permission). They monitor everything, and still released funds afterwards.

They gave me the option to use their shipping or mine on the first listing and every listing since. On both accounts.

Correct, I use 1 Android Tablet that has Separate User Accounts and each User Account has it's own app.

I am currently using a Samsung SM-T280 (8GB).

I need a bigger size Tablet, this one can only hold 5 Users.

I do agree with your statement 95%, I do have 1 item I sell on ebay also...and shipping always comes out to $10-$12, Mercari comes in at $8....that 1 item is the only item I use Mercari's shipping label for.

I have also noticed some problems with my Proxy, when I try to "List an item", or "Withdraw Funds", it says..."Not allowed in your Country", I've had to do some stuff to get around it.

I unfortunately don't use 24vc, so I wouldn't know why you are getting that error.

Pretty nice set up. Was wondering if you could use more than one app on same device.

I’m looking to add a couple more low cost smartphones with low cost plans to go along with the iPad mini and the 1 smartphone I have now.

I like not worrying about ip switching. Or user account switching. I love just picking up a phone tapping the app and I’m live in seconds. And, I can see the accounts simultaneously.

At the moment I'm eating them. But, if your business model doesn't allow for that, I would THINK street address po box would be fine. I HAVEN'T tried this with Mercari yet so I don't know for sure...

MM78,

Are you still selling on Mercari currently? I was doing pretty good on there until I got banned last year. Looking to get back on now, just wanted to confirm best practices when going stealth.

What factors do they track in order to identify that you've been banned previously?

Do you use different VPN's for each account to ensure the IP addresses are different or do you just use different mobile prepaid phones and connected via the data avoiding WiFi?

When cashing out via bank direct deposit, do you know if the name you give Mercari has to match the name on the receiving account?

Thanks

Do you use the same name for cashout across each account, or do you use a unique name for cashout for each account?

You can do separate user accounts I would think but, the app is much much better with features you would want and need as a seller.

Payelectronica,

Are both your ipad Mini and prepaid phone connecting to the same wifi (ip address) to access the accounts or are you using wifi for ipad and the data plan for the smartphone? Any VPN's at all?

MM78,

How does MiFi work? I'm guessing this somehow gives each account a unique IP so it doesn't appear that they are linked? If so how?

When you do have to use the mobile app to access and respond to offers, are you still connecting behind MiFi or how do you do this across multiple accounts?

What have you done to avoid this error and to resolve the IP issue?

I was thinking of just getting cheap prepaid mobile phones with a cheap data plan...

Yes, currently selling on 6 accounts, about to add 4 more.

Quote:

If you use a tablet, phone, they can definitely identify you, even if you clear it out and start over.

Quote:

VPN's, Proxies, MIFI's will work just fine.
For MIFI, I suggest you make sure you change the IP before switching accounts.

Quote:

So the same rules apply to Mercari, you need to make sure you have a bank account that doesn't care about mismatch name deposits.
When I give Mercari a name, I just use the madeup name for that account but I use banks that don't care about mismatch name deposits.

Quote:

I think the above answer should work for this questions.

Quote:

For the most part MIFI's are not static IP's, but if you go with a MIFI, you need one that can give you a new IP.

Quote:

Yes, unfortunately you do need to use the App to respond to offers.

Quote:

I use a combination of MIFI, Proxy.

Quote:

What have you done to avoid this error and to resolve the IP issue?
I use Proxies + an android app called "Postern".

Quote:

You would need 1 for each stealth.

So let me explain what I'm doing now.
I am currently using an Android Emulator on my PC, each Emulator is running Postern with my Proxy. There's a few other issues that I deal with but I don't have a lot of time right now to explain.

Here's how it looks on my PC, these are 3 Emulators running, each with a Proxy.

Yes my iPad has its on connection with different isp. Smartphone has its on plan.
I have since gone to smartphones only.

FYI: mismatch names work fine.. Name on mercari does not have to match name on bank.. At least not Wells and BOA.

memu play does not have issues with apps still recognizing the desktop user agent? years ago i never had this issue with emulators, but i tried using some emulators again recently for some apps and they were all blocking the emulators.

So I literally just started Mercari and within 5 minutes got a sale. I listed at the same price that I would list on ebay. So far so good. But it seems like you cant list in quantities or relist. So you have to put description again and whole thing to sell another of the same item. Pretty inefficient if you ask me.

My first item sold so fast I thought I did something wrong, or something. Listed another one and it got about 10 views in a week!

What are the reason for so many stealth Mercari accounts? Like, do they have selling limits and things, or what? I've only sold a few things on there and have no idea about their platform.

There are no selling limits, but I once listed, and sold the same item within a specific time span and the account got toasted. So for me, I am spreading out the sales of my items across multiple accounts. So far, this has worked for me.

Hmm, still testing with Mercari.
To me it's like a craigslist type environment and the buyers are bottom feeders.

But I know a friend who made $800 in just a few days then he got banned because a customer complained about quality

It takes the right item on Mercari. I just sold an item 30 mins ago, listed it 45 mins before it sold. You are right, there are a lot of low-low ballers but I just ignore them.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but it shows up like a new item...I had an item that had like 60 likes and 100+ views with no one interested in buying it. So i deleted it, started the item fresh and within 1.5 days it sold.

Re: Mercari Stealth

How well does their "promote" thing work? I priced a few things high so that I could partake in the percentage price cut, but havent really noticed a difference between and just pricing the item lower from the get-go.
