Im not sure if any of you guys use the link wheel technique when creating web 2.0 accounts. If you dont know what i mean then its interlinking all the web 2.0 accounts you create to each other and your money site.

So for example if you create a hubpage-squidoo lens and say a wetpaint page you will link each of them to each other and to your website. This ensures all of your pages are not just scattered around all over the place but rather interlinked together to make them stronger. Your web 2.0 accounts will also get some good quality backlinks which will make them rank better.

Before, about 2 months back it was very easy to get these kind of sites to rank well, however lately I have seen that its difficult to get these to rank if not done correctly.

I used to create backlinks for my web 2.0 accounts and also add the feeds to feed sites. I would also bookmark the web 2.0 accounts. This used to work a treat in dominating the search engines for whatever keyword you target.

This no longer works for me, not sure about you guys. I have found a way around this but its a bit of a pain. However it works.

The way I do it now is to create the accounts without any outbound links whatsoever. I do some promotion and wait till the websites rank. about 48 hours max. I then sign into the accounts and place my links on them. You then have your backlinks on these sites which helps loads.

I know its a bit of a long way around it but this is whats working for me now and I get results.

The idea of how you build a link network(farm/dump)system is crucial to success is SEO.

A couple methods in this regard I have wanted to try when I get some time.

--- The 1st is a quick, dirty, temporary method just to make a few bucks

Parasite(proxy) hosting. Okay the idea is to use xrummer or an outsourced version to dump a huge volume of links at say a digg or linked in page that points to my money page.

This still works, given the serps results for stuff like online pharmacy, etc...

This works sporadically for the most competitively words on the interwebs. The reason it only works sporadically is because of hand editing on the serps pages for the most competitive stuff.

But on words that are not at the top level ( ie.no serp hand editing) this method should kill.

I am building an experiment to prove this.

--The 2nd method is one that Blue Hat Seo proposes which is more like a pyramid than a wheel.

The deeper you build your SEO Empire’s base the wider it becomes via more and more autogeneration.

Kind of like the roots on a tree trying to reach as much nutrients as possible. So understand that while your hosted blackhat sites make money they inherently have a lower conversion rate and income potential than your higher up sites such as your database sites.

Therefore if you use the hosted blackhat sites to push links to your basement and database sites where you can achieve higher rankings and more profitable affiliate programs your income potential becomes much higher in the end.

The same thing holds true all the way up the building.

Your database sites are going to provide huge amounts of link volume, and with help of your hosted blackhat sites, link quality to the sites higher up.

The higher up you go on the building the higher quality of neighbors you’re working with which means more ranking potential with competitive terms and more earning potential with your choice of monetenization.

So on your next link building campaign try thinking in terms of upward linking"

I's been a while since I posted on this. Just to give an update.

I finally hit it big in Google for main site, Due mainly to the linking techniques here, I am now on Page 1 (top 5) for my keyword in the Google serps.

The keyword has 19 million competing pages with definite monetary intent.

A couple things to note, due a reciprocal linking scheme, google had penalized my site, but once I took that off and waited a month, bingo. 1st page baby.

So if you are wondering if this stuff ( backlinking) works. It does.

Just put in the time to get those links.
