I really dont want to sound rude or so, but wasnt it you who wants to overtake E bay and was asking for money in exchange for membership in your website?
By all means i wish you luck, but from what i read you probably need to admit its going way slower than it should.
This is polite way to express.

Keep at it! Driving traffic to your site isn't as hard as people make out you just have to put a lot of work into it. Have you got a blog? Do you use social media to help target your demographic market?

Might I suggest, don't discount old fashioned print advertising. Most people assume everyone is on facebook and twitter etc, and most are however I for one pay absolutely 0 attention to any ads that pop up on web pages. I don't click on banner ads etc. As I just don't trust them and most of them are junk sites. However if I see an ad in the paper, a magazine, even a flyer on my windshield I am more inclined to at least read it and I have more confidence that its legit. So don't limit your advertising footwork just to the digital realm. even if you get 10 local people on your site that is 10 more than you have now.

Hey guys the old site is taken down completely along with too much competition from eBay. I am excited to give it one last try, this time I will deliver the next best auction site, a lot better than the last.

Get into Google Shopping. Without it, your site will be lost with the rest.

There are tons of sites just like you. You need to get ahead of them and show some face. I only sell outside of EB and AZ, but I won't touch your site if my items don't post to Google.

I have both types of stores running at all times. The ones in Google make sales. The ones not in Google sell absolutely NOTHING using the same exact products.

No such thing as failure per se - you either succeed at finding what works or you succeed at finding what doesnt work and go from there :)

I liked the colour scheme - similar to 90s retro and yet was visually appealing
