Basically, Microsoft has a huge "playtest" program. They give people software & xbox games as payment for doing usability testing for them. Also, every MS employee has a certain amount he can spend at the employee store and buy software and other stuff.
As for Nintendo, their offices used to be/is right across from MS (not sure, I didn't see their logo on the building anymore last time I drove to Redmond), but I don't know anything about them. Adobe has an office of some sort here, but yes, they are headquartered in the bay area. Funny how US Defense forces gave many people employment
The military bases (Lewis/McChord) are down in the Tacoma area. The people who work there are mostly trashy and live in the ghetto. |
