Better assume it's forever. It does not cost much $ to store them in the data center. When data becomes huge, DB admin can easily flow some from faster disks over to slower tapes, then pull them back in a temp disk when special SQL type queries are run.

How long do you think eBay keeps records of suspended accounts and IP addresses associated with it. Forever? I appreciate your input...THANKS!
Forever and a day. I had a 'chat' once with a T&S staffer. He told me of an email address I had long deleted from my account. As bluemoon said, it is simple for them to keep the records. Now they might get 'looked' at if a new account raises flags....just a risk if anyone thinks of recycling

I like to tell people forever.. but really I don't think more then a year or even six months that they'll have that info on file.
Now I"m just talking about IP addresses... everything else like you email address, name, address, username, etc etc.. they'll have that in their system forever.
