Trisha | First of all do you have a router hook to your cable modem? If so you need to chnage the mac address on the router via the console, release the ip and reboot the cable modem. once it comes back on line renew the ip on the router. You cable modem will asign you a new ip since the mac address has changed.
If you are conect directly to you cable modem (no router) then change the mac address on the wired/wireless adaptor which ever you use on your computer and release ip and bounce the cable modem, and again once on line renew your ip on your computer.
so as you can see it all depends on how you are setup. I flip ip on 13 accounts all the time, keeping track of your ip's......
