My ip address problem

Hi,

I am using a DSL router supplied by AOL which uses a PPPoE/PPPoA connection.

It seems to get a new ip address all I have to do is reboot the router, I have just done this 3 times and got completely different ip addresses.

92.3.229.204
92.3.252.83 and 92.3.248.171

One problem I have is that I have been with AOL for a number of years and
have had eBay account's suspended before I found this site and did not know
what to do, anyway my point being that I don't want to sign up to eBay with
an ip address I think is "new" - and find out eBay all-ready have it on their systems and then suspended me.

Plus I don't want my friend's who use my internet connection to interfere
with my account - you know they sign up, get suspended and then I get suspended.

Another plan I have is to get a Vodafone or "3" dongle and stay away from
my router when using eBay, but I figured if their is a way I can save £15 a month then to take it.

Using a dongle like you mentioned isn't a bad idea, Dialup is a good alternative, it is slow, but gets the job done, tethering is also another good option................ Just my 2 cents

Get a dongle.. it will save you headache and give you piece of mind knowing you're in the clear. Use IPBurger.com to document and watch your IP address.
