Ubee cable modem all in one

I have a ubee cable modem its on the all in one package, as in phone internet(wireless built in) cable. It will not let you change the wan mac address like the Stealth Book says. Anyone use this type of modem?

I might just use a VPN Because i only use mac based computers

Its my experience thats VPNs are good.... IF.. And only IF... They are private, dedicated/Static IP, and ran on a vmware os. I've had dozens of ama zon accounts that run on VPNs and havent been shut down and are in good standing.
