in order to open 192.168.1.1 you have to be connected to this 192.168.1.xxx net, right?
you can be connected either through wifi or through a cabel.
so, if you connected to some net you need to check your net connection details. it's something like right click on the connection icon and like "connection info" or some likes.
there you can find your router/default gateway/etc IP address, that is, suggested to be 192.168.1.1
But as you manually made changes it can be different, ex. 192.168.0.1 etc
if so just use the new address. if it's still 192.168.1.1 as was expected, that may well mean that something is simply wrong in your router software.
if this is the case just press the small hidden button on the router in order to return it to the factory working condition. that should help.
just in case: before you press the button, make sure you know password/settings/etc to connect to your ISP. good luck))
PS: and before doing all this sirtanly make sure you're connected to the router. it may sound silly but you can be just disconnected.
