Default T-mobile 3g static IP

I have an older Tmobile mytouch 3g phone with a Static IP.

Airplane mode does not reset the Ip. Is this phone just a dead end for changing Ip's or is there another option to get this Static IP to change?

a Static IP will never change. you need to be changed to a dynamic ip. you can try asking tmobile to do this

Thanks...talked to Tmobil and what I was told was 3g phones software and hardware do not allow for dynamic IP changes....but all the new 4g phones do. So it seems on 3g you are stuck with a Static IP.

Waste three days getting no where....
or go pick up a verizon air card, or sprint and save three days and get to work.

Those are your two choices.

Thanks for the replies...For right now I just am going to go with forcing IP changes by changing my router mac address and use comcast...and continue to work on wireless Ip...so there are always backups ready.

Don't mean to bump old thread, but I am also running into this problem lately. I use to be-able to change my ip just by turning data off and on on my Galaxy S II but now recently, i haven't been able to change my ip address at all, not even by rebooting the phone. Is ip address on t-mobile static now?

I think t-mobile is starting to do this all over. I've seen many complaints about this online recently
