Which Is The Correct IP Location?

I'm messing around with Verizon MIFI 4g hotspot to use for my stealth accounts. I decided to verify the one of ip's location with a couple of ip checkers. Why am I get a COMPLETELY different location (ie 2500 miles difference) for the same ip? Which one is correct? I have my theories but I just wanted to see what the gurus thought.

You make it sound like there is only one verizon ip. If you really wanted to, you can look up ALL their ips. All 15 million of them. Not too hard to find that information.

Why are you worrying about the 'location'?

Should the ISP supply a dynamic IP, it is accepted by platforms like paypal/ebay, locations may differ from the actual physical location of the account.

Issue is having cookies/user account on each account.

Your part is to run IP Burger - Track Your IP Address! to check the IP. And where you are running more than one stealth account, this is critical to your operation.

i have a question related to this: as the Stealth Book and this forum suggest: better register an address within 200 miles of ip。 i got the same results, different sites show different location and they are all thousands miles away from my real location. now should i create ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address according to the ip location? and to which one if one site shows florida and the other shows new york?

Hi!

Ideally you create a stealth account with an address that you can access.

Your IP address can actually differ from the physical location. I hear you about the thousands of miles difference . This is common & is acceptable. When you create the account, you make a user account with its cookies etc. That 'parcel' is what paypal/ebay look for plus the IP address. there should be few problems.

To set your mind at rest, when I ran IP Burger - Track Your IP Address! earlier, it show that I am 70 miles from my actual location. I have even recorded locations right in the middle of the country. But the account have had no problems.

i see, so i probably should go with my local address despite some site shows it is on the other end of the country another question is i'm right now testing two different isps, A gives me a narrow range, i.e. only the last 3 digits of the ip changes (99.99.9.xxx), B changes the last 4 digits (99.99.x.xxx), should i choose A over B because it is less likely to duplicate IPs? i tested even with 3 digits, it just changes just between 1xx and 2xx, so effectively 2 digits change, wouldnt that get duplicated pretty soon?

The larger ISP providers tend to have a broad range of IPs available to 'lease' to users.

I'm talking thousands of numbers.

ISP B appears fine.

Maybe base your choice on what service you get from the ISP provider.

I use an ISP that provides 24/7 customer service. Let's face it, if it is the middle of the night or Saturday afternoon & the internet frazzles, we want resolution.

Consider what you will like using.

In the UK iP addresses often locate to Skipton, North Yorkshire for some reason. I register accounts addressed in London with this location and never had a problem.

Your geolocation will vary based on the quality of IP address database information utilized by sites like whatismyipaddress.com and IPBurger.com. This is especially true when using a wireless broadband internet connection.

I recently switched from using Yahoo's IP database API to another service provider.. it's showing better results but of course it's not perfect.

The only real solution would be browser location, it's very accurate but requires the user's okay to be tracked. Most people don't like this so we use other solutions on IPBurger.com

Yep easy to do when in the UK but when operating UK accounts from overseas, you're using VPN, VPS, dialup.

When I'm back in England my dongle gives me an ip from all over the place

I use virgin mobile for phone tethering and I see my IP address changes with more numbers than most cell phone companies. I have used tmobile, cricket, and have used my sister's ATT phone. Sprint is smaller than all of them besides cricket, VM is owned by Sprint. Cricket only changed the last 2 numbers.

I dont mind or not complaining, my new VM phone saves me more money than my last VM phone.

Then it's evidently not so easy to do... my 3 dongle gives me IPs that are always within the City/Square Mile also.

Evidently it is, you switch off your modem for a few minutes and bingo. Even with a dangle if you disconnect and connect a few times it will show up in London.

Square mile?, that's dodgy, central London is actually Charing Cross :D

But not permanently in London, that was my point. For me it never leaves the Square Mile/City even once. That was my point.

And the Square Mile is the main business disctrict so I'm not too surprised... I live just outside its limits so the IP location is close enough to me. And it's deinitely Central London, lol; while Charing Cross at SW1A/WC2N may be the "centre" of London, that would be a pretty narrow definition of central London. A much more sensible definition would be anywhere between South Kensington and Shoreditch (both are about equidistant from Charing Cross as well).

yes i've tried out tmobile, clear and virgin, virgin being the easiest and best. it's worth the 5 bucks more than tmobile. besides i just had the issue that it changes ip while logged in - apskin released me though, says that is not a big deal, now finger crossed that it will not happen to often and grab an ip that i used before for other accounts.
