Own VPN by having an always on PC at home query

Hello.

I am holidaying/working in Netherlands and am thinking about setting up my own personal VPN by having an always on PC in my hometown in UK by using Hamachi or OpenVPN. Here is a link to the Hamachi site How To Build Your Own VPN | Lifehacker Australia

One of my questions for the moment is if I set it up and access my home pc in UK via Hamachi or OpenVPN, will ebay/paypal know I am using a VPN or will it look like I am using my home PC in UK?
