Re: Best way to change IP address with TW, Arris modem, and Apple Airport?
Apple is one of the hardest routers to modify the MAC Address. All others, such as Linksys, Belkin, Netgear are fairly straight forward on their web gui...but Apple makes it tougher.
You would need to open up a terminal window and spoof the ethernet adapter or wifi card mac address. Your goal is to just do mac address cloning.
Honestly, I would suggest a different router that would make things easier on you.
I also have an Arris modem (with Comcast) and I use Netgear's N600 router. I modify the mac in the n600 router gui page and I'm able to retain IP addresses very easily.
