Activity: 0% Longevity: 56% | | IP ADDRESS clarification(new in stealth guide)
Hi, I just purchased the stealth guide and i have some confusions/questions with regards to IP address section.
As said in the guide, "ebay and pp records ur ip address EVERYTIME u log in"
and
"please note you only need to change ip address once and not everytime you login to the same ebay/pp acct, u only need to change ur IP between different ebay and pp acct to prevent linking"
I am confuse. please do enlighten me.
1)How often do i change the IP?
2) if i have 3 different accounts (in 3 different usernames in the computer), does that mean that everytime i open one user account i have to change my IP first before loggin in into ebay/pp?
3) so if I use the 3 accounts in one day, i have to change my IP address EVERYtime I use one?
4)Will it not raise any flags to Ebay/PP for frequent changing of IP in a day?
thankyou very much for any help you could give me.

1 - Depends on your IP type and ISP. Yours looks to be static which makes it a bit trickier to change IP address. Dongles and phone tethering would be a really good alternative.
2 - Yes, need to change IP between eBay accounts. You also need to keep track of your IP address.
3 - Yes
4 - No, so long as cookies are in place your fine.

If you run more than one account, you need to have a new IP address for each account and to keep a log of the IPs used.

Good, having a dynamic IP address makes everything a lot easier.
No need to chance the MAC address, just make sure you track the IP address and follow all the stealth rules.

So long as you keep eBay accounts separate using separate user accounts and make sure you track your IP address its fine to use the same computer for multiples accounts.

thanks | Ah, here's the really neat news!!! Being able to change your IP & having different user accounts saves you from doing that mac address change.
( it's a bit techo techo to do )
Seems you are looking ahead well .

With regards to changing your router's MAC address, it's simply another (optional) way to force an IP change if you are one of the unlucky few that has issues with your IP changing.
I personally change my router's MAC address to change IPs. It's fast and works. If what you're doing works for you then you're set. |

Aspkin,
When I first bought your stealth guide, I too used to change the mac address via my router. However it does not allow me to do that anymore. Do only certain router work for this? If so can you recommend one?
If not I am doing something wrong. I use a Belkin router

Have you looked into a dedicated mac ip server for each account? makes keeping track of my accounts way safer and ip address stays the same for each account.

Just get a dynamic IP provider e.g. dongle, cellphone tethering, or so - change IP every time you log in and track to make sure you don't overlap
