The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
If you are using cable internet you need to use the ethernet cord from the modem to the ethernet port on the back of the computer. There should be no dial tone if you are using cable internet.
If you are using AOL Dial-up then you need to use the phone cord and plug it into he phone port on the back of your computer.
I did that too. I asked a couple of my friends and strangers about it and even aol help and I got is 20 different answers... I'm not just gonna throw this thing out I'm gonna shoot it and then burn it.

You need to get a friend or somebody that knows computers over to your house.
If you are using dial-up for the 1st time, you will have to set-up your computer for it. It doesn't do it automatically.
You know its been like twenty years ago when I used aol, I hope your right. That gives me hope. You mean If I got a new computer right out the box Id have to do more than download aol stuff and just plug and go?
It's hard to say, I have never had to setup a dial up connection but that is the route I would take to get it done. I'm thinking about getting dial up but i dont even have a home phone so I would have to get that too.
What is a TCP/IP connection? Buy the way I went through all of it and the same answer came out " no dialtone ". Plus you guys are the best I have to say. The last thing I'm gonna do is put out that slat thing where the plug for the phone line goes into the computer and Im going to the store and try to replace it, then I"m giving up on this pig. Thanks for your response.
Anyway, first I'd like to thank you all for your help with the aol thing. All fixed. It was this inline phone thing that does something for my phone but I can't remember what! But whats funny is that I pulled them all off except for the one in the kitchen. So tonight Its off and now I can get something going on with some accounts. This is too funny!!
