Saw an article about eToro a month ago, decided to try it, had the longest and most annoying registration in my life. failed the test 3 times, called them and finally passed anyway I invested 300$ 14 days ago, copied 3 pro traders, 1 hour ago transfered 345$ to my bank.
If the funds arrive safely, i'll probably invest 3000$. The only problem is the bad reviews all over the internet, not sure if all this reviews because people had a bad strategy or something is really bad with the platform. Another issue is that Alexa showing eToros ratings going down, also they might let me have my 345$ now but no guarantees i'll have my 3450$ later.
Please share your experience with eToro. |
Re: Share you experience with eToro Never tried this klemantina but I am saddened to hear of issues - you are quite on the front of exploration... |

jeffweico | 12-04-2014 06:29 PM | Re: Share you experience with eToro I have not looked at this site from every angle, but I would be VERY SKEPTICAL. I wouldn't rush in and invest $3,000. If you started with $350, just let it ride and build up. When you have $1,000+ in the account, take out your initial investment and let the rest ride. That way, if it is a scam, or if you copy someone who makes some bad trades, then your investment collapses on its own money and you are not really out of anything.
Again, this could be perfectly legitimate, but lots of times scammers know JUST THE RIGHT WAY to entice you and show you a small result, pressing your "GREED" button. Then, they get a larger sum of money from you and you never see it again. I know it is difficult to control that "GREED" once the button is pressed, but in my experience, you will be a lot happier if you do. |

The idea of the platform is pretty good, the traffic is nice, it looks like they're growing and the most important fact is that my friends in Israel knows in person the people that sitting in this company's office. I'm still very skeptical because its so unbelievable to make 20-30% return for investing 30 minutes a month. |

But I will look into it too, because it sounds like a fairly unique concept. If it really works, then it is an AWESOME find. Returns like that are usually just fantasies. |
Klemantina | 12-05-2014 02:12 AM | Re: Share you experience with eToro I encourage everyone to test the platform but please be extra careful. My strategy was to find the best investors with 90%+ winning rates with more than 6 month record and just copy them. First week I won like 5% than lost 3% than won like 20%+, you can set your own stop loss to make sure your safe. The most incredible thing is that you don't have to do anything and the money just growing :) |
Re: Share you experience with eToro "my friends in Israel"...hope you know them very well? |

Klemantina | 12-06-2014 08:31 PM | Re: Share you experience with eToro I meant that this company makes an impression of a serious legit business that worth trying. Not sure how its going to help to know some of the people that work there, It's not like im going to run in their office with a shotgun or kidnap their grandma if they steal my money :) |
trosky | 12-06-2014 08:55 PM | Re: Share you experience with eToro Not available in USA according to their website, I wonder why, maybe regulation or licensing needed? |
Klemantina | 12-07-2014 01:47 AM | Re: Share you experience with eToro Google...
"There are several differences between eToro and eToroUSA, operated by ILQ. To name the most major ones, eToroUSA provides access to currency markets only (unlike eToro which enables traders to trade commodities, indices and stocks as well as forex); eToroUSA accepts only wire transfer; and eToroUSA has much lower leverage options (up to x50) in accordance with NFA regulations. However, the spreads and the CopyTrader function that are available to eToroUSA users are the same as they are at eToro.
You can find all the information about eToroUSA spreads and fees here: eToro - USA
Due to the above mentioned limitations, and the fact that we are based in Europe, eToro has focused its marketing efforts on non-US based traders. Taking into account that eToro is a social investment network and that awareness of eToro has been largely spreads via social networks and channels, it is natural that our brand has had less of an impact on the US market.
Nevertheless, our entire network is available to you through the OpenBook platform and even though our top traders may not be from the US, you can still copy their strategies with your eToroUSA account. That's the beauty of a global investment network!
I hope this was helpful!
Happy trading,
Andy, eToro Team" |

chimera | 05-01-2017 05:07 AM | Re: Share you experience with eToro I have found eToro really noob friendly for me. Traded for a couple of months, and drawn funds with no issue at all. Fees seem fine relative to the amounts ive been investing. I really like being able to drill down the news feed and see everyones tips. The information isnt always correct of course but it does make it feel quite social.
Made a killing this weekend on Ethereum :D |
Klemantina | 05-01-2017 10:00 PM | Re: Share you experience with eToro Yes I chose it not just because they promised me 1k a month if I get 100 copiers, it's also pretty newbie friendly and the fees are okay.
I use IB and other smaller ones because the fees are a bit better.
I'm into building algorithms this days. https://www.mql5.com/en/market
I will come back in 3 years to update :)
If James Harris Simons did it than I have to try. |
