| yogarelax | 05-31-2008 02:06 AM | Sorry, dumb question... You can also put "stuff' on one of those blank cd`s, correct? |
| mantisinc | 05-31-2008 01:52 PM | Ah yes, when my PC screwed up a few months back thanks to a powercut, I nearly shot myself when I realised I hadn't backed up all my ebay info! Luckily my PC resotred itself (yay for Dell), and all was okay.
But I now print them for myself, give a copy to my parents, and keep them on my webserver :P |
| rpinson | 06-02-2008 11:11 PM | Critique my plan for setting up multiple accounts.. I have done ALOT of reading here and I think I am ready to try to set up a couple of new ebay and paypal accounts after being suspended for no good reason. I want to see if some of you more experienced guys can tell me if Im missing something or doing something wrong.
For Paypal:
I plan to set up a couple of savings accounts that are tied to a WAMU checking account that I already have. The main checking is tied to a paypal account that is connected to a suspended ebay account but that shouldnt matter correct? As long as I use a new account they will not know it is ultimately tied into the main checking. This seems like the best way because I can transfer from paypal into the savings account then from the savings into the checking (for which I have a debit card).
I also will use a prepaid cell phone as the phone number on the account.
I will use Simon gift cards to verify CC.
For Ebay:
I am able to change my IP address by using CMD ipconfig /release, unplugging cable modem, then ipconfig /renew. That way ebay will not see that I am using the same IP address as the suspended account and the 2 (or more) new accounts will not have the same IP addresses.
I hope that since the IP address will change each login ebay will just assume I am using dial-up.
I also will make sure all the information matches for each ebay and paypal accounts.
I believe with these steps I will be successful. Anything Im missing here?
Thanks for all the information on this site. |
| imjustme | 06-03-2008 10:35 AM | Seems OK to me. Just make sure you create a separate Windows user account for each eBay account to keep cookies and other nasty stuff separate :) |
Hi Folks,
I was just reading and going along and realized I didnt know what a seperate
Windows user account for each eBay account was. Can anyone define that a little more.
Thanks

| ebayhateluv | 06-03-2008 04:52 PM | HI:
Just 1 add note:
If buying on that acct- watch the address... also- if selling "SAME" items, they'll get you that close..
Just an FYI... Best of luck :) |

| jscan | 06-05-2008 12:06 AM | i just recently came across another free wifi in melbourne, that shopping centre "australia on collins", i once got wireless at the QV shopping centre but i think they have stopped it cause i can never get a signal there no more.
Kinkos fedex up on Exhibition st is great too, only 7cents/min. |
| Daoud | 06-10-2008 02:54 PM | Why do you need so many routers and modems?
I thought you could use just one router and have a specific MAC address for each ebay account which results in a diffrent ip for each account?? |
| ebayhateluv | 06-10-2008 08:03 PM | Daoud--"I Personally" do this, as I am not computer saavy--(However Ive been on these boards a year now0--and I am learning and getting braver.. :)
I am little by little weaning myself away.. ACTUALLY ASPKINS IDEA is much better and cheaper--
He's written a thread on it--Use a different user id for each ebay acct--(in windows xp) |
| Daoud | 06-21-2008 12:26 AM | whatever works for you :] But dose anyone think i will encounter problems in the future if i use my method of using mac address? I currently have 7 accts none have been suspended so idk if any are linked. |
| coolstaff | 06-23-2008 08:10 PM | useful tips |
| noel123ie | 06-26-2008 04:20 AM | yes thanks very simple but so easy not to do |
| imjustme | 07-02-2008 05:27 PM | The pros/cons of selling on 35 accounts at the same time... I think this was a stupid idea. I listed about 10 items each on 35 accounts. eBay didn't kill my accounts, that's the good part. I sold about 240 items in 3 days, also a good part. But the bad thing is ...and I didn't think about that ...I need to log into each of the 35 accounts on dial-up, answer stupid questions from customers and send invoices on each of the accounts.
I'm dead tired at almost 7am :( |
| greg2414 | 07-02-2008 05:56 PM | yeah, bit of a mission really lol. I would just use them as back up. Or maybe sell from 5 at a time? |
| mycrowman | 07-02-2008 06:04 PM | Why not setup email forwarding to one email address and answer from there. |
| ebayhateluv | 07-02-2008 06:05 PM | Yes, My Exper has been--I can only handle roughly 12 accts at once.
After that--you start messing up--answering emails to a buyer from acct #A--with the persons name in acct# D.
Also- Slick/Experienced Buyers--who shop a "Category" regularly--pick up its you on 2 diff accts--they ask me, and i always say no.. but just by them asking, ?? |
| imjustme | 07-02-2008 06:10 PM | I don't really mess up, usually I balance about 8-10 at once. But I wanted to somehow get them "de-virginized" and now I'm flooded. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to use dial-up, but I don't really want to take a chance and login to all of them with the same IP range. |
| imjustme | 07-02-2008 06:17 PM | 8:30am. Great. At noon I need to go to the post office with 100+ packages. I may as well go for breakfast now. Screw sleeping, who needs sleep anyways? :D |
| TMiles | 07-02-2008 06:30 PM | Wow...35 accounts.....I cannot imagine.....Makes keeping records a real nightmare.
I would love to hear some advice from our experts on their accounting practices.
Personally, I have fits keeping records on 3 or 4 accounts....My next tax statement will be a beating.... | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:45 AM. | |
