| National Merchant Bancard -- Anyone familiar with them? Seems to me that the payment you receive are pretty quik.
According to the FAQ:
How will I receive payment on each of my transactions?
After the transaction has been approved, your customer's charges are
deposited directly from our processor to your bank account. Transaction
deposits range from 24 to 72 hours from the date of the transaction.
Any insight is greatly appreciated. |
If thats another name First Data is doing business under.. I would not trust anything they say. |

Thanks, then please read my thread "I need cc processing advice." and point me in another direction.
Waiting weeks for ccnow is not the greatest.
And I'm praying the cash I have in there gets released like it should.
Thanks. |
. Lyda,
I don't mind spending $45 bux a month is the rest is hassle free.
I want a merchant acct that will allow me to put a little buy button on my site and accept credit cards. I want my money in 2-5 biz days. I want the merchant account to not hold my money or any bs like that. |
Its not about 45 bucks. Its that they said fees were like 25 a month, than after a while they raised to 35 and now is 45. Also, when I complained, they said I signed and agreed that they can raise fees on you as they please. That's exactly what the manager told me.
I had to fax in cancellation of my cancellation the same day, opting for 45 a month until contract is out, but they still charged me regular 45 a month and three days later they sapped me with early closing fees. I can't tell you how many times I called to request a refund of 105 + 75, but each time a different person tells me different story. It was like , they would reverse the charge and I should get refund in 48 hours, than it was Columbus day and it takes 2-3 business days, than it takes 2 weeks, than the latest today.... They had to wait for my account to be reinstated so they can issue refund. She initiated refund (really?) today and it takes 5 business days to show in my account.
God only knows what will they say when I call them again next Thursday morning, cause I don't trust them.... I feel like they ae going to make me spit blood before I see this money back....Its up to you.. If they start you at 45 a months don't be surprised to get billed 70 or even 80 a month within short time. |
Next time, I wll try to get Merchant through my local bank wheRE I do business anyway... |

What do you mean by this statement? |
What I mean is that some banks where you opened your chacking/savings account also offer Merchant services... |
wow. I will definitely check into this tomorrow.
I wonder if they have something that allows you to put a 'buy now' button on your site.
THAT would be awesome! --do you know? |

ty V. I got your message. I have not signed up for anything w/ them or given them any personal info.
I'll stay away. |
Good for you Trig! Vic, I oly wish I knew this and read those reports before I signed up with them....:pout:
Makes me wonder if I'll ever see $170 reversal in fees now.... |
Vicvelcro | 10-22-2009 08:38 AM | Lyda,
If you read much of what others have posted in the SCAM forums and then invest a lot of time playing phone-tag with the reps at First Data, you do have a decent chance of getting your money back. Basically, you have to annoy them enough to force them into relenting. Ripoff Report is your best source of information regarding the recovery of your funds from First Data and their subsidiaries. |
Thanks Vic, I have been on the phone with them numerous times in last 4 weeks..but I guess didn't annoy them enough - yet |
OK, I read ALL of the Ripp-Off reports, than went to BBB and to my surprise, the company has A- status rating and no complaints whatsoever! How paradoxal is that?
Anyway, I called again today and expressed my concern about the refund and fees and they assured me I should see credit in my account within 5 business days which would be next Wed or Thursday.
So now I asked what exactly I need to do to close my account in Feb, wanting to make sure there won't be no more fees after that.. They tell me I'll have to fax in the request form and I will still be charged $75 closure fee regardless!
It doesn't matter you are just not renewing your contract, they still charge $75 regardless.
I am so mad at myself mostly to let this happen to me. I thought I could spot scammers better... Coming February 2010 and my last $75 dollar charge, you bet there will be a comment from me at the BBB board. I just hope it helps lower their A- rating, which is so undeserved! :brick::pout: |
bansheezone | 10-24-2009 01:47 AM | I was using them a month ago with no trouble but I did have to terminate the account due to having been filed under sporting goods instead of parts which I was informed via a letter and by phone letting me know that they need to hold my batches and due a review of the account. The guy who handles the security department in my area was a little hard to get in touch with but everything he said he was going to do he did as did I when they requested certain things still way less then what PayPal would normally ask for. After everything checked out my funds were given back and the account was closed, he added a note to the account termination file that it was due to an error on the application so I could apply again and not get black listed, I simply just signed right back up with no issues.:amen:
I did do a internet search prior to setting up an account with them but alot of people do not know how to properly set up a merhcants account and basically create thier own problems.
A few Key things is your average ticket - the average sale price of what you sell, it is important to really sit down and figure this out and aim higher then your average.
Also you highest sales ticket, and total sales amount for the month. You should also make sure you are put down in the right catagory and inform them by a personal call letting them know what you do, and verify everything is correct before using the account. Just like Paypal build trust and start slow, have all your documents in order just in case a review does happen. Anytime you expect a spike in sales or a higher then normal ticket number just call them and let them know that your going to inform them of the spike.
Overall I am happy with the service they provide me with, just not the charges and rates. |
Maybe they were nice to you because they could suck you in again.....First time, - shame on them, secon time- shame on you. ....They don't turn into who they really are for a while... You just started. But I hope you remain happy with service. Really! |
bansheezone | 10-24-2009 12:39 PM | They never stuck it to me at all. It was simply just an application error and on my end. Like I said but they do charge the hell out of you but it is still better then Paypal at the end of the day I get my money. |
dchef2777 | 03-30-2010 12:02 PM | Not a problem I keep coming back to this post....I must say 25....35....45....they keep raising the cost...Who cares really ( for me ) I would pay 200 a month if you can tell me that Im done with pay pal and I can just sell as much as I want and never worry about paypal asking for my SS number. A contract is a Contract... It sucks when you want out of one but if you read the fine print at least you know whats up. I here a lot of complaining about fee's with certain sites like Auctiva ...just pay the fee..Its worth it ( my opinion ) | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:24 AM. | |
