Default Unable to withdraw after 180 days - Asking to verify identity

Since last month, Paypal has been asking me to verify my identity after the 180 days period by "answering" questionnaire from public record and obviously I do not have the answers to them. I tried calling them many times every few days and I can't pass it. I tried also giving the excuse of me being new to the US so I do not have any public information but they just don't care and say I need to call again in 24 hours and try again.

I even tried to get them to let me just upload an ID but they said I only have the public questionnaire question option.

Any tips/solutions?

They have been doing this as of late in the US, Been seeing it all over now. used to be 180 was "no matter what" now??? same verification as if they were giving it back that day

After many tries, I finally got a nice lady who did not ask for such verification and just gave my account the ability to withdraw so now it's processing.

I guess you just have to be consistent even after the 180 days hate paypal...

I think you will need to ask to get past the ID verification.

Another route would be to get your case bumped up to "Paypal Executive Escalations".

Asking the front line reps to do this would likely get you nowhere.
I've had to file a case with BBB (Silicon Valley/San Jose CA) and it will get you there. Expect it to take 2 to 3 weeks, but chances are very good someone from their exec office will contact you AND you have a chance of having this ID requirement removed.

I remember reading or hearing something about some "law" that prevents PayPal or any financial institution from holding your funds past a certain time period, but I have no confirmation of that. Maybe one of the other more senior members can chime in about that.

Just an FYI Paypal could utilize their clause that says 180 days from the last review. Therefore, everytime you talk to them they can count it as a review.
