hi all, I read in the news a while ago about paypal might use Voice Recognition, does anybody know if they do and can accounts then be linked by this method as I think this has happened to me? thank you

You DO realize youre linking articles from nearly 5 years ago right?
Stop panicking. Even when these articles were released it sounded like a moronic media relations bit. This was not implemented and will not be implemented because the means to implement for not exist.

Not at all that I am worrying about this issue, and personally I don't think paypal will ever do this.

However, the means to implement does indeed exist, and it has been implemented already in other companies services. I have a couple Charles Schwabs bank accs and they do infact use voice recognition for the customer service, discovered this like 3 days ago when I called lol I set it up and did it, pretty crazy.

I know it exists.
But implementing it with Schwabb is one thing. Implementing it with paypal - which is an international company would be a very different thing and require quite a bit more in the resource side of things id imagine.
Just dont see it happening anytime soon.
Would be much easier and cheaper for them to implement browser fingerprinting and they havnt even done that.

Yes the articles are from a few years ago but they talk about PayPal's intention in the future and this being the future I thought I would ask seems that questions are not allowed to be asked. it is worth noting that this technology does exist and has existed for a few years and not only that other banking institutions use this technology and PayPal have talked about it several times and considering this is a PayPal forum as well I thought it would be ideal to ask here
