Question: GDPR and personal data | Force PP to delete data
Hi everyone,
Been here around for several days, reading all the threads.. interesting stuff.
Just wanted to ask your opinion regarding PayPal.
First, I'd like to mention that I'm holding an EU passport, therefore I'm subjected under GDPR data protection.
According to EU GDPR directive, you may contact any organization, ask what information they hold on you, and request to permanently delete it. The failure to comply with your request may cause serious penalties for the company, especially for a such big one as PayPal is.
In theory, in case my PayPal get's limited / perma - limited, I'm able to request them to remove any information which they have on me. In case they comply with my request, after a while, in theory I should be able to easily create a new PayPal account.
If not, than this might be a good reason to file a complaint to authorities.
What do you think about this?
