Paypal Limited - How to get the account closed

I had a PP account limited and wanting documentation that I have no plans on providing.

So with that said, I know it takes 180 days before the funds are released but that clock does not start until the account is officially closed. That can take anywhere from 2-4 months. So rather than waiting, how can I get that account closed immediately so the 180 day clock starts.

PP does not have an option to close an account so hoping someone might have been in a situation like me and might have been able to close.

They won't let you close a limited account.

Only solution I can think of is to submit obviously bogus documents and get your account fully limited.. but then you'd probably have issues after the 180 days getting the money out. Tread carefully because there are dozens of posts on the board by people who waited the 180 days only to find out Paypal transferred all the money to themselves a few days before the 6 months was up.

What Paypal seems to be doing is manually reviewing every limited account before releasing the money tied up in it after 180 days. If they find out you've violated the AUP at all they just take all your money.

Closing the acct has nothing to do with the 180 day period - that start ticking from the moment the acct is limited.

IF YOU did not violate Paypal AUP,then the money is there to be transferred to your bank account,make sure it is active bank account already linked

can't they upload a bank after the 180 days by calling in?

Sometimes they'll do it, sometimes they won't.

Having a bank account initially is best
