Paypal RELEASED MY MONEY-Called them in 2 MONTHS was suppose to be 180 days
 

Good News! I dont know if this is a sign of better days to come but paypal released my money after I placed a phone call to them yesterday. Its been 2 months. ebay/Paypal originally told me they sometimes decide not to do business with people and they were closing my account and I would get my money in 180 days. I told her that I was sick and that my mom had been sick (true story) and I needed my money. She said we normally hold these funds for 180 days let me see what I can do. She came back and mentioned that I was selling gift cards and that they need receipts and documentation and she understands you may get 1 or 2 as gifts but not 3 and 4 of them. However, She said good news and said that I could go ahead and withdraw the $400. Unbelievably, I hung up the phone by mistake and called back and another guy answered and actually said that what the lady told me was wrong and that I could only withdraw $100 of it because of possible chargebacks and claims (he is scum bag because he viewed the notes and knew she said I could withdraw money already.) I knew I had a promise from the first paypal rep so I didnt worry and hung up. Logged on the account was still limited but was able to withdraw the entire $400.
Lesson learned! Do not sell more than 1 or 2 gift card or you will be flagged. do not change passwords on accounts or you will be limited or suspended.
by the way, all info was legit..girlfriend in cali but I live in another state so account should never have been limited in the first place.

its 400 dollars,i highly doubt theyd release accounts with thousands and thousands,you must be hurting for $ if you calling about 400,at least you got it early..good job i guess,i however am too lazy to call in for my account,ill just wait the 180

You can sell more than 1 or 2 gift cards you just need to make sure you have a receipt or invoice for each. You always got to prepare yourself ahead of time. You could've got creative and just got the receipts from the store.

True. She said you must have receipts and documentation for them..But I did have receipts from the actual store it came from..Still shut me down.
she said she understood getting 1 or 2 as gifts but not more than that.
Basically, they are watching gift cards very closely and nobody wants extra eyes on them.
Not that I was hurting for money but I was shocked that they released the money after saying I must wait 180 days. thats unlike paypal.

Great to hear but I would chalk that up to a rare example. Paypal wants to keep that money for 180 days so they can make the interest off of it

Weird that they would suspend forever after you provided documentation but stil release your money. Seems backwards to me, you must've not provided something or did something wrong. Nevertheless congrats!

Let me add another WEIRD thing was that the PAYPAL was still LIMITED and still is while I was WITHDRAWING the money. The screen has the same appearance as a LOCKED account but she told me to go in and withdraw and it allowed me to do it on locked account. money was in the bank a day and half later.

Yes that is how the PayPal account is after 180 days it doesn't unlimit it just lets you withdrawl then locks you out.

If I get limited I will have to try this by sweet talking one of those sweet white girls with a sexy voice. Having an innocent, relaxing, soft and tender 14 yr old voice works wonders! ;)

A spanish girl!? Damn! and I'm spanish myself and I wish I would've gotten 1 on the phone. I usually get those sexy sounding white girls, while some are more older and sound more professional. I guess next time I will hang up and keep trying until I get a spanish girl, and maybe I'll be guaranteed to get away with something! ;)

Paypal has PERMANENTLY limited my account and frozen my funds for 180 days claiming that my " seller's account" (I have a personal account) has violated policy, potentially risky activity, fraud, etc. I've called pretty much EVERYDAY for the past week and a half to 2 weeks since its happened and haven't been able to speak to anyone! The automated system hangs up on me everytime. I've written COUNTLESS emails and continue to receive automated messages or none at all. What should I do? Whom can I contact ( phone numbers and emails) to get this situation rectified?
