Default when does the 180 day hold begin?

ive searched but havent found anything, ive pm'ed a few people because i do not like to make useless threads

so i got an account limited,i do not care to provide info because ssn is the issue that can not be passed, my question is when will the 180 day start? someone by pm told me its from the day they email you with the "parting ways" email, and than i spoke with paypal today and they said its 180 from the day i got limited

so i dont know which to believe,i do not take paypals word, does paypal email you after some time if you do not submit any info and said "parting ways",if so when does that normally come

again ive tried searching, but haven't heard anything and im not use to having limited accounts, its been a very long time, any answer is much appreciated as long as its related to the thread

If one can say usual and paypal in the same sentence, it's 180 days from the sending of the parting ways email for the majority of accounts.

The critical part is getting that email to commence countdown, imho

Last week Paypal limit my account after receiving over 500 usd ebay sales in 1 week. After I supplied the docs they asked, I got an automated reply saying Paypal and me are parting ways and the funds being held will be released after 180 days. So I guess 180 days starts after you received the "parting ways" email.

well thats what i thought, but the paypal limited "specialist" said it was 180 days from the limitation date and she gave me the date ,

my other question is how long until you get this parting ways email if you do not submit info? ive had accounts limited b4 and received the parting ways email after submitting info, but this is a first time im not going to bother since i can not pass the ssn part

Few months back there was a bit of a debate going about funds being released. A couple of users stated that they made no response to the 1st limitation and then got the funds after 180 days. But said users did not give any further details.
I can say that I've helped 3 other users who thought they were getting their funds after taking no action on the 1st notice of limitation. The collective 'we' found it necessary to attempt to resolve the limitation . That did not work and the countdown started after paypal gave the parting of ways email. This meant that the period of obtaining the funds due was actually/techincially longer than 180 days

Default how paypal release the funds

Any knowledge of how will PayPal release the funds after 180 days? Do they sent it by check? or you can just withdraw the funds from your suspended account? Thanks!

You get to choose by check or 1 transfer to the account on file.

Was your paypal account a Business account? How long was the paypal account active for? I'm wondering because I don't want to sell too much and get limited too..

It was just over 2 months old together with my eBay account. There was a sudden increase of sales in one day and I withdraw the balance within 24 hrs. that may cause for a red flag and then they probably found out it was linked to my other limited account.

But my eBay is fine. And I stop selling for now. I stop selling actually because I'm on a working trip.

As I've learned in this forum, selling slowly would help and then volume sales once your paypal and eBay account is mature enough

You absolutely right, whenever you sales go up in a short period of time that really bad i mean from Paypla point of view, same thing happened with my account. So really the best thing to do is to sell slowly, & dont whidraw too much money, too much is more than 500$ per week. Oh yeah also it doesnt look goos whenever you have a lots of transaction. Hope that helps dude

i'VE BEEN doing mixtures, so far like 3-4 transfers of $15-30 i am not a big time seller, i do all of that on an older account and only in shot week spurts, and then rest on that one too.. but that's a 10+ year old account.

Only big transaction i did, i bought it with another account that is my own which i have a debit card. sure it cost $3 but i needed the cash for a bill

My account was limited in Feb 2010.I have sent numerous emails asking them to "part ways' and received no response.

Will they release the funds after July 2010? I did not attempt to resolve the limitation as it was only $50

Yes you will receive the funds as long as you keep the bank account that has been linked the that PP account which has the 180 days limitation placed on it.
