Default Paypal Confirm Identity

I just confirmed my identity by doing the "confirm location" thing, in which they call you and have you insert a pin. but it still says waiting for your response. do they just need a couple of hours to change that or is there something else that I need to do?

If you confirmed it...restriction may need one more thing to bypass...check again.

Call them and tell them that you provided all the info they asked. "BE SUPER NICE" do not get mad or talk back. Keep talking about your personal life lol they usually don't ask you for more stuff if you keep talking and talking and talking. Just remember to talk about something interesting.

Personal experience.

If you typed in the PIN that they provided it should have lifted the restriction right away. I would log into the account and check the see what they are requiring. On the list of items where it says confirm location does it have a check mark next to it?

This is good advice... but don't talk yourself into a hole.... acting like your spouse is talking to you in the background helps. Making people empathize with you is a great way to get them to do what you want. Asking for help always works too.

Thanks for the answer. :P
I also have to confirm my location, but mine just ask me to use a credit card/bank account. Is it the step after?

According to what you said, I just say the number over the phone?
Also, how is your situation going now? :P Hope you got your money back!

hahaha... paypal has lowered all of it's users to having to use keen social engineering methods in order to access their own hard earned money.. how rediculous

Your method of talking to paypal on the phone reminds me of that hot girl at the party that you want to talk to, but not sure which one of your cheesy pick-up lines will draw the best results

Remember these guys are in a call center, they hate their life and their job.If you are fun and happy with them, they will like you.

For the most part... yes.... but they're the personality type that is a bureaucrat, they don't care. If you MAKE them care, then they can bend the rules.

google search social engineering

The bottom line is if you can make them do it, you've won.
