Default Any action required for 180 day hold?

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately I received the dreaded email saying that my paypal had been limited and I need to send heaps of paperwork to lift the limit on my account. The email does not mention anything regarding the 180 day hold.

Am I right in assuming that they will still release the funds after 180 days? Or do I need to do something in order to get them to start the 180 day hold? I'm sure I read somewhere I need to fail the document check or tell paypal I want to go my seperate ways? Can someone clarify this. Tried searching for this topic with no joy.

180days starts from day when account get limit. So you can do nothing, just wait 180days, and than withdraw funds.

With the email stating nothing about the 180 days, I'm a little worried that when the 180 days is up and contact paypal, they will say "180 days starting from now". I read somewhere I have to initiate the 180 day hold. Are you 100% sure?

Kind regards,

Yes, I have 5 accounts limited. I not do anything with them. Exactly after 180days I call Paypal, and they immediately release funds.
You can call Paypal and tell you not want provide any documents. They send you email, where will be write you get your funds after 180days. )

I don't know if its different in the US, but you don't have to call PayPal here.

The day you get the limitation, that's the day the 180 day wait starts.

If you receive a "limited account" email notification on July 15th, you will get your money 180 from July 15th.

You don't have to call and say "please start the 180 timer".

When my UK account was limited PayPal told me they wanted to part ways. I made a carefully worded complaint about the 180 day limit and they agreed to release the funds early if I provided ID.

I decided to wait for 180 days instead of giving ID but even after 180 days they still demanded ID before they released the funds. I kept sending ID and they kept rejecting it (possibly due to a photo mismatch)

I complained to the financial Ombudsman who are useless as PayPal only voluntarily comply with part of their process.

After 3 years of the funds being "stolen" by paypal I complained to the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier who gave me the email address of a PayPal director to complain to. Mysteriously after this complaint my funds were suddenly released without a word.
